Today me and my family went to Oink for brunch. We have been going for the past couple of years. So we have never had a bad experience and horrible service. Well today was the day that we had the worst service ever. To start off our waiter whom was a younger Caucasian gentleman brought my wifeâs coffee cold. Then as we are sitting waiting for our food we noticed lady next to us tell same waiter that her bacon was not what she requested and was burnt and could she have different flavor. When he came back to give lady her bacon he slammed plate down on table and walked away.
So as we are still waiting for our food which has been 40 minutes later, we noticed customers around our table that came in before us started getting there food. I told my wife relax it should be coming. The final straw was when I saw table of 4 young gamer teens get their food before us. We then asked to speak to manager and she went to check. Another 10 minutes goes by still no food, finally my wife said she wants to go letâs just pay for our drinks. I went up and told the manager we wanted check to leave. She said no no the food is free, so 10 more minutes go buy and I noticed manager was gone. She was obviously in back throwing our food together. Mind you waiter never came back to our table to apologize or ask if we wanted more coffee, nothing. Our food then came out and yu can clearly tell it was rushed, my wife did not get her ham, I did not get my sugar bacon. They just gave me some regular bacon. I told another waiter that started helping and finally they brought my wifeâs ham out and still brought me wrong bacon. We ate bits and pieces of our food paid the 17 dollars we owed and left. No apology from waiter or young lady manager. I donât like to play the race card, but my wife brought it up before I did, and said maybe waiter was racist. Becauer the lady next to us he slammed plate of bacon down to was African American. My family is biracial and I feel maybe this guy was a bit on the racist side.
Today was a horrible experience and something needs to be done. Coach your staff on better customer service. The ladies that were sitting next to us were local school teachers and they told us they normally go to first watch and they wanted to try the Oink. It was a complete let down for them and they saw the experience we had.
As a customer I would never come back to this restaurant until...
Read moreIf I could give it no stars I would. We were there for lunch on May 24, 2018 and it was horrendous! We (5 adults, 1 four year old & 1 in a high chair) arrived around noon and were seated in about 5 minutes. However it took 20 minutes for a waitress to appear. Prior to that I had informed a staff member that there were no paper towels in either restroom. When the waitress did show up she announced sheâd take our drink and food orders at the same time. Again I informed staff of the restroom situation. We asked to speak to the manager as we had now been waiting 45 minutes for our food! The manager said they were short staffed. That being said, a good manager would have closed off a portion of the restaurant if they couldnât serve in an efficient manner. We noted at least 3 tables of customers get up and leave due to the poor service. It was over an hour before our food finally arrived and it came in spurts! Two plates then 5 minutes later two more then finally 10 minutes after the first plate arrived the last two arrived - but they were not complete. Missing the sides which arrived another 5 minutes after that. It was a mess! Food was cold. I even had to go get my own pitcher of water as the waitress seemed to have disappeared. And now the restroom had no soap or towels. Even though our meal was comped, it was probably the worst dining out experience Iâd ever had. The waitress was on the verge of tears and the management didnât seem to give a dang about anything. The only reason we stayed was because my four year old grandson really liked this particular restaurant. I will not...
