Reimburse of $20 offered by Alvarado. We went to the Broadway store first, too hot inside and not a big selection of sofas, then we were sent to the one at Prince Road. We found what we were looking for, beautiful sofa!! We were taken to their storage and they have one of the sofas (wrapped in heavy plastic) but not a love sofa, so the manager told us that they will place the order with the sofa makers in California. We placed the order on July 23, they told us to wait for 6 weeks for our sofas to be delivered. When we placed the order according to the zip code we were told that the charges for delivery were going to be $170. We though was expensive, but we agreed, not other option given. After 6 weeks (September 3) we did not hear from them and we called and they told us to wait for another 2 weeks, September 17 nothing, so we called again and they told us again to wait for another 2 weeks. Really bad customer services, they should contact us instead of we for the status of delay of the order due "the lack of fabric" on September 29, 10 weeks later we were called to make the final payment. So after the payment they told us to wait for delivery company (Third party) to schedule the delivery on October 5th we have not hear from delivery company so we called Latitudes to find out about our delivery, they called them to call us, we got the call from the company named Alvarado and told us that the delivery was going to be on October 7. They came unwrapped furniture outside and placed in living room, after that they told us that it was going to be $240.00!!!!! We didn't have the choice, but to pay. We contacted Latitude and this was their response: "...Third party companies like Alvarado provide us with rate sheets that are supposed to be pricing guides...Before they perform a service, they are supposed to call the customer and let them know what the exact price will be and, if the customer is in agreement, then they book the delivery appointment. If the customer is not in agreement, they will not book the appointment and will let us know that the customer rejected the service. We then contact the customer to offer them different alternatives. This doesn't seem to be your case.
Although we don't normally intervene in this type of situations that are handled by third parties, we called Alvarado and they explained the reasons for the difference between their rate sheet and the actual rate they charged you. They said that they had to charge a higher rate due to the size, weight and color of the sofas. Since the sofas are off-white, they had to repackage them for protection and unpackage them again for delivery. They also had to dispose of the packaging materials, incurring some additional cost in the process. They said that they would call you on Monday to explain the rate difference. Although the rate difference is significant, we can understand the reasons why and don't believe the charges are out of the norm for the type of service they rendered."
First of all we saw how furniture is delivered to their storage room, wrapped. How come the delivery company will re-wrap the furniture. Then the delivery company, Alvarado, never called us to tell us how much they will charge us, they just delivered and then ripped off us with $240.
We believe that if will be cheaper for us to rent a truck and pick up the furniture. Latitudes did not gave us other option or suggested us to rent a truck.
First of all Latitudes Customer Services is really bad, they are only interested in selling their nice furniture and then the customer is on his own, dealing with the order, checking the status of the order, dealing with delays and dealing with delivery dates and finally dealing with outrageous charges of $240 of delivery.
We never will place an order with Latitudes. We want to let future customers to be aware of their very bad customer services and about delivery charges from a...
Read moreI have to say they have beautiful things and I own 3 of their pieces. However, I special ordered a couch close to $6000. It was on their floor and I expressly told them I wanted a new one. Not the floor model. I put half down and they told me it would take 8 to 10 weeks. 4 weeks later I got a call saying the couch they put aside for me was ready to be delivered. The woman who called was confused because there was a balance owed and they never put things aside unless paid in full. I told her I follow them on Instagram and noticed the couch was gone from the front if the store within days that they âspecial orderedâ this off white couch. She called me back a few minutes later and said my name was on the wrong slip. To make a very long story short, I got 4 different stories from the owners and employees. Didnât make me quite believe them. I went to see the couch today and my misunderstanding, I was supposed to call first so couldnât see it. I let the wife know I was upset because of all the stories and felt lied to. The husband just called, pissed that I âdisrespectedâ his wife and business and refunded me the money. He wonât sell me the couch. And all I can say is, Thank God! What happened to truthful people? Be careful...
Read moreGreat store. My husband and I have recently moved and needed some new furniture. We came here because of other positive reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Beautiful furniture. We got a very nice dining room table and chairs! But great as their furniture was, the customer service was even better. Without going into personal detail, we are both disabled, and frequently get treated differently as a result. Kristen and her colleague (whose name we didn't get) took our disability completely in stride. They treated us with the same respect and dignity as any able-bodied person, and believe me, that's appreciated! Highly recommend this place and...
