I graduated from TU with a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering ('11) and the 4 years spent at this institution were worth every dollar put into college tuition. Nevertheless, I was an international student at TU (from India) and the way everyone blended in together was the best deal of my life. Friends from all walks of life, race, society and countries came together at work and during play. TU being a small school had all the amenities a college student could ask for. On-campus apartments were a blessing! Not even bigger schools has on-campus apartments unlike TU, even though its a home to about 4-5K students. It is however the 93rd best college and the 3rd best Petroleum Engineering school in the US. For those who are concerned about partying, this one's for you - TU has a WET CAMPUS policy! Definitely get that beer in a koozie out and have fun! Throughout an academic year, the school has various events going on for different occasions.
If you're looking to be in green country and want to be in a small school for whatever academic field you want to pursue, TU is the right...
Read moreI studied at the petroleum engineering school at TU for my bachelor degree and graduated two years ago. ..... and now I can proudly say "I graduated from Univ. of Tulsa"
All I can say about my experience there as an international student, I miss the great TU , I miss all my friends I have made while being there, and I miss the Tulsa life.
Here is my evaluation of the university:
Education: Excellent. Top Ranked. Serious. (5/5) Faculty: Awesome (5/5) Living / Services / Environment: Great Study environment ,, everything is available (5/5)
The housing policy, the fees , ,,, etc: Students are forced to stay on-campus (dorms) and have a meal plan for their first two years, which is very expensive and not worth the money. The food is not good at all. And the price just goes up, up , and up every year, where students don't have the choice, because they are forced. (1/5)
....and please stop making TU look like an...
Read moreI was in the MA Anthro program fall 2013 and kicked out for sending too many emails that werent looked at regarding potential thesis ideas. I found people of authority to be as stupid unaccountable children without judgement and themselves victimized by psychopathic staff. Part of my proposed thesis building on my prior MS degree, won the Nobel Prize this yr. This showed me that even non-minority wealthy people can be really stupid about truth, and even people who try to be Christian in appearance might not be so. They certainly were not looking for honesty or fairness and this lack of perceptive ability and good motivation affects all of Tulsa. Grisham thought you all just needed to be stirred up like natural peanut butter, but I think you need Christ and Christianity for real. Im still paying off my student...
