I don't know if it's because I've been eating Coney Islander for over 50 years and have never encountered a truly inedible cheese Coney or maybe it's because the TU student standards are really low.
I don't know where your quality control has gone but speaking to someone who's been in food service industry for 25 years including management, if you don't put water in the steam drawer, you get hard buns.
Three, followed by six that we're going to a door dash and I feel sorry for them, none of the buns were acceptable to anybody. ADDITIONALLY, THE DOGS THEMSELVES WERE LUKEWARM AND THE CHILI WAS COLD. NOT EVEN HOT ENOUGH TO MELT CHEESE. HEALTH CODE VIOLATION.
I would like to ask every employee at the 11th Street location if they would be willing to eat the three cheese counties that they just served me.
Y'all, when that stuff sits out, and you've turned down the grill because you want to clean it faster or whatever it was, the combination of factors that you put together, I will not eat there again.
I will go miles out of my way to try to find a decent Coney but I will never go back to 11th Street. This is not the first time you've disappointed me but it's the last time.
Toppings like chili must be kept AT TEMPERATURE. I got these home within 10 minutes and started eating them and stopped after one and a half.
Because I refuse to eat something that I know is certainly not to my standards and it's nowhere near Coney Islander standards.
Keep the toppings at temperature. Stop loading a crock full of chili when you are NOT BUSY ENOUGH TO USE a crock full of chili. I don't want chili that has been sitting out at room temperature for 30 minutes y'all.
I don't know why that's difficult but I literally mourn the death of the decent Coney...
Read moreThis is a long standing restaurant in midtown Tulsa. It haa been remodeled in the last decade. It is kept clean. Especially for an older facility. With their remodel they kept the service area looking the same, clean and efficient. The coneys were good as always with everything (I like chili, cheese, mustard, and onions. Or everything). The modern dining room is a great addition.
The only problem I had was that service from the employee was uninspired. It was competent although was also short tempered. Not a word when she wanted us to order. Not a sound or a repeating of the order for accuracy. Not a thank you or smile or noise but to tell me the money I owed. This is flat rude behavior and should probably cost them more than one star in this review. I guess I felt generous with the nostalgia.
Get therapy, quit being mean, I don't care just don't be distant to the point of being rude. You don't have to like me! You just have to act like you like me for a very short period of time. And I am not asking to much when I am only asking for polite,...
Read moreThis restaurant has a high turn over rate meaning Ive had great customer service in the day.... Most likely when the store manager is in. But at nights... WOW. Night manager is very rude and highly disrespectful. I served my country and am great on respect as well as a strong black woman. Is this what we serve for? I also am a recently widowed mother of 6. I spend 60-70 bucks at one time here. The environment has changed and you won't have another dime of my hard earned money. Look elsewhere no one has time to teach great customer service. I also observed a cashier touching food and accepting money and people's cards and then going to the next customer without switching gloves. A food poisoning case waiting to happen. And yes this was the night manager on August 20th at approximately 7PM. White guy lengthy hair. I am also reporting this incident to the health...
