I am reviewing Vintage Vault not as a buyer but as a seller. My parents purchased a two level credenza when we lived in Europe in the 1960s. It was loved by my mother and became a family treasure. It came with us when we returned to Oklahoma and held a special place in our home ever since. When my mother passed away in 2011, I had to put it into storage and there it sat for the past twelve years. I knew my mother would not be happy with her treasure shut away in storage. I desperately wanted another family to love and care for this important part of my family's life. Thank goodness for Scott Nichols and Vintage Vault. I contacted him and sent photos of the credenza then made arrangements to meet when I was able to return to Tulsa from overseas. Scott came out to the storage unit and informed me that my asking price was too low. He even informed me that I could get even more for it if I tried different avenues. When I heard Scott's honesty, I knew I had chosen the right person to intrust my family treasure. I accepted his fair terms and was happy that I had found a person who would bring the beauty back to the credenza and find a new family to treasure it as my family had done for sixty plus years. Now, when I think of Vintage Vault and Scott Nichols the one word that comes to mind is honesty. I am so glad that I was able to do business with...
Read moreOutstanding selection of mid-mod furniture. We are in the process of adding some furniture pieces to our 1953 mid-mod in Dallas. We drove to Tulsa recently to purchase a bar and ended up finding at least one other piece we wanted. However, it wouldn't fit in our vehicle and we needed to do some measuring to ensure it would fit in our house. Ultimately, we purchased it and Scott made getting the piece to Dallas just about as pain free as one could expect. We see a lot of mid-century furniture, but rarely do you see it in this condition, with a lot of life left in it. So much restored furniture, simply falls apart a few months later. Not the case with Vintage Vault's well curated selection. Yes, I wish the store was open on the weekends...we drove up once only to discover it closed, but returned with an appointment several months later and enjoyed looking around the showroom. That said, his business...his choice. Will be doing business with Scott and Vintage...
Read moreThis place is a veritable gold mine of high quality, fairly priced mid century furniture. There is an impressive quantity and variety of pieces to choose from. And they are room ready, no refinishing or repairing required. I was hoping but not expecting to find what we found. Our haul was 2 dining tables, 8 dining chairs, a set of exquisite nesting tables and a magazine rack. I had been searching at brick and mortar stores as well as online for months and finally found Scott’s store on Etsy. The fact that it is based in Tulsa was a huge bonus as it is only a couple of hours away, and I was hesitant to buy sight unseen. Any concerns about quality evaporated when we walked in and saw what was there! Did I say I was happy?!!! Scott, thank you for the care and attention you give to maintaining your fine vintage furniture store. Tulsans are fortunate to have Vintage...
