The workers working just now are so incredibly rude. I'm furious. I had my husband go in to get meals for 4 adults. When he told the worker that he sighed loudly and said, "Are you serious? " Then got visibly upset when my husband said yes. The worker tore a tortilla while trying to put together a meal and got so mad that he threw it in the trash can and ended up knocking the plate over and then got upset again and kicked the plate under the bench. The worker then got mad and tried to reject him when one meal had requested enchilada style and rolled his eyes after my husband asked if he could please just do it. At this point he was incredibly uncomfortable. There were multiple food items or sauces that he was told they were out of because the worker didn't want to make it. Then when my husband (who is much more quiet) STILL tried to get our meals and ordered chips and guac at the register the lady got mad and said "You should have asked him (gestering to the angry worker)." My husband, who didn't want to ask him asked, "Can I not ask you? ". She then said, "Nope! Do you want a drink? " Seriously? I didn't find out about this until we had left and we were on a tight schedule so we couldn't go back (which is also why my husband just uncomfortably pushed through it). Because of the workers refusal to make new food items or sauces or even try, all of our meals are 'off' or wrong. Why on earth people with attitudes that horrible are allowed to work in service positions is beyond me. Unless this is made right, you can bet we will...
Read moreUpdate 11-19-2020 Cafe Rio has appears to have listened and made changes for the better. They were a little slower tonight (due to the whole distancing thing probably) but that wasn’t bad. The service was good, the food was great and the facility was clean. Was an enjoyable meal and the employees did a pretty good job. Keep it up Cafe Rio and we will return often.
—————————————————- Previous review 10-12-2020.
We used to live Cafe Rio but when the employees are lounging around and talking so loud in the dining room that you can’t here your own person at the same table then the management needs to look at what’s going on. Employees taking breaks in the dining room while having very loud conversations with all the other employees makes the enjoyment of paying customers very lacking.
We used to come every time we were in town but if we have to compete with employees to hear each other then we will go somewhere else.
So please take care of this problem Cafe Rio. ———————————————————————————
Prior review: This place is awesome. Most times we go into Twin Falls, we take the family to Cafe Rio to eat. The food is always good and the variety of drinks is good as well. I do wish they would bring back their strawberry lemonade though. My kids like the shrimp tacos and tortillas and we always enjoy the sweet pork burritos or salads. This is a place that is family and handicap friendly. Bathrooms have always been clean when we have...
Read moreI am writing this review to express my disappointment with a recent experience at this Twin Falls location. I placed an order for a salad for pick up 09/16/2025 at around 1:45 p.m., but when I checked my meal at work, it was incomplete—I only received rice and meat, with no lettuce.
I returned to the restaurant to address the issue. I politely said “I was wondering if you could fix my order,” in an attempt to keep the interaction civil, but was met with coldness and indifference. One employee dismissively asked, “What’s the issue?” In a tone that made it clear they were not interested in helping. I explained to her that it was missing a lettuce. She then insisted that the order indicated the lettuce was on the side, which it was not. Even if the order had said 'on the side,' there was no lettuce provided on the side. For the record, there isn’t even an option to request lettuce on the side when ordering online. I showed her the receipt. Another staff member took my plate, stuffed some lettuce onto it, then slid it across the counter without saying a word or making eye contact, and both of employees walked away. They were not apologetic at all. I was left feeling embarrassed and disrespected, as if I had done something wrong simply for asking for the order I had paid for.
The way I was treated was unacceptable and far from the customer service standards I would expect...
