I will update with names if possible... Chelsea, Glen, Grace, Leo, Nia - ALL PHENOMENAL!!!
I interacted with 4 Ayr staff during today's visit to the Union store at roughly 10am. All 4 Team Members (including the Greeter & Manager) as well as the Security officer were, as always, in a class second to none.
Without going into much detail, there was a pricing issue that required the attention/approval of Management. It did take a few minutes, however during that time the young lady initially assisting me confirmed my orders, assured me she would be taking care of the issue momentarily, and repeatedly apologized for the delay (I'm fine with the wait, it's important to note though how well my delay was managed). She and another Team Member even made pleasant, light conversation with me until Management arrived and gave approval to correct the issue.
My issue was corrected without efforts to dissuade the purchase or reposition blame towards the customer in any way. This is common practice for companies like Zen Leaf - who's few GREAT Team Members are easily overshadowed by TERRIBLE Management and Budtenders uneducated on service basics and even their own products.
Companies like Ayr and Botera are much safer visits, especially for out-of-staters. They're reliable, pleasant, and a far better experience - from the handling of pre-orders to an impromptu visit, leagues ahead. They are professionals, they understand customer service very well, and I've never experienced anything to the contrary during any of my 100+ visits to the Ayr Union location!
Thanks so much everyone at Ayr, see ya...
Read moreWith dispensaries becoming more and more popular with most of the same products, its really important to hone in on your customer service. I visited Ayr on christmas eve and was greeted by budtender who was just staring at me asking me what I wanted. I was not even shown the IPad, I had to ask for it and then was rushed. When I asked about their edibles, this guy threw three on the counter and said that is what they got. He had no knowledge on any of the products and when it came time to pay, I got charge $33.50 for a $25 product without explanation. I have been to other dispensaries so I am aware that your bill is sometimes rounded up if you pay with debit and you receive your change back in cash. Not only was I not notified I'd be charged an atm fee, I only got $2.50 back. I just left it be because service was so bad and it was christmas eve- but I just got another charge from this company on my card for $2.50???? It isn't as much about the money as it is about the principle. When I called, I was very polite and greeted the person with so much kindness only to be cut off in the middle of my sentence and be told I had to come if I wanted anything to be done. So unnecessarily rude and poor customer service. Very disappointing for a place that could have so...
Read moreWe were visiting from out of state and wanted to grab a disposable vape pen for our time here. Our initial experience was good. Friendly staff. Relatively knowledgeable. We bought two disposable vape pens at $32 each. The Verano vape with Strawberry Cough worked great. The Select Essentials Zkittles pen did not work. When hitting it, the light would come on for 2-3 seconds and shut off. No vapor. We called the AYR store in Union where we purchased it. My wife asked if the woman could help troubleshoot it. Her response was, “we don’t offer refunds or exchanges.” The woman suggested we try charging it. (It’s a disposable; they don’t charge.) we asked what our options were. She said we could come in and buy another. lol. I understand that New Jersey is still new to the game. We’re from New Mexico and have had medical cannabis for about a decade. If we had encountered a situation like this in New Mexico, we would have been offered a refund or exchange. In fact, this DID happen to us once and the dispensary (Verdes Foundation—check them out) worked with us to troubleshoot it, and then replaced it. If you want to grow a robust industry in NJ, you need to be looking at what western states and Canada are doing to promote customer...
