One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Under the water, on the left and right side, you have crystal clear water, corals, tons of fish, and even the occasional lobster or octopus. Down the middle, sea turtles and rays can be spotted. Above the water, the most gentle lapping wavelets give the soft, soothing sound that white noise machines have tried to duplicate for decades, and the soft white sands are framed by the forested hills that shelter the bay. Then, the restaurant is simply amazing. Some of best seafood we had on St. Thomas was at this tiny, unassuming bar and grill. The fish tacos were perfect, the fresh catch was perfectly cooked and exquisitely flavored. Finally, the dive shop was friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced for the area. They let us keep our rental gear past their closure, then place it in the rental return area.
Literally the only negative is the parking situation. For resort guests, there is plenty, but for those visiting the beach or facilities from outside, there is very little parking, except up a huge hill, past a tennis court, and up another hill, a very tiring hike after a day...
Read moreSo let's start off with the reasons of why the hubby and I love coming to Secret Harbour Beach
The Cruzan Beach Club Restaurant - sits right at the waters edge and serves the best kale mango salad & lobster quesadillas ever! Dine on the patio under an umbrella or in your beach lounge chair. It's your choice. The service here is also fast and awesome.
Its free! There is no charge to access this beach
Parking is easy to find behind the resorts guest rooms
cruise ship passengers don't come here so it's not crowded
if you want to get away from everyone there are private, quieter spots near the flag pole
bathrooms! You can use the ones that belong to the restaurant which are very nearby
the water is crystal clear and beautiful every time we go
you can rent beach chairs and non motorized water equipment
Things we don't like:
It is rocky so be careful and the views are definitely better from the north and east side beaches but the sun, sand and water is the same everywhere on the island!
This isn't a bad beach to...
Read morePros: A great beach with good access to snorkeling, a beach bar/restaurant, and restrooms (large enough to change clothes in). The beach has a decent amount of shaded spots.
Cons: Parking is limited.
Parking Situation: I would recommend taking a taxi as parking is very limited if you are not a guest. There are 4 beach visitor spaces up the hill behind the tennis court. If you look at the satellite map it seems as though there is more parking, but everything down the hill is for those staying at the resort or going to the restaurant and the parking behind the tennis courts is mostly designated for employees (20 of the 24 spaces). I suspect towing is enforced based on the signs and the employees watching the lots.
If you are driving yourself, I would recommend planning an alternate destination if parking is full.
Note: It is a decent climb up the hill back to the car, so be prepared if you are bringing a...
