This isn't somewhere I'd probably go back to. We went at dinner time during the off season and there weren't a lot of customers at the time, but we still felt very ignored. When we got there they asked us to sit at the bar and get a drink while they cleared a table for us, so that's what we did. The bar tender ignored us for a good five minutes before asking us if we wanted anything, and when we got our drinks they were very weak. We also watched them pour several other drinks and noticed how little alcohol was poured into those as well. About 15 minutes later it was apparent that the hostess had forgotten about us, so I went over and asked about our table... she looked confused and then seemed to remember who I was and said "oh yeah! You can go sit down there now." So my wife and I sat down and waited. And waited. And then a little while later someone came by and said "has someone already helped you? No? It's probably because you already had a drink at your table, so everyone thought you had already been helped." So then we ordered. Our food came relatively quickly, and it tasted nice (except for the pasta salad... that should be taken completely off of the menu), but we had to specifically ask for silverware and napkins after receiving the food. Then it started raining, hard. They have covers over the top of the eating area, but there are large slits between the covers where rain can still get through. They helped a couple of people move their tables to get out of the rain, but we were ignored and we had to move the table ourselves (after getting soaked). Only when we were getting ready to leave they asked "did you guys get wet at all during the rain?" Yes, thanks for asking, I was/am soaked. They also never checked on us to see if we needed water refills, etc. All in all, very poor service, especially for somewhere somewhat pricey. I wouldn't recommend it. There are many options to choose from in the area, and there's no reason to go where the...
Read moreWe chose Sunset Grille for our May 2019 wedding reception after our ceremony on Lindquist Beach. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful setting or more perfect people to put our night together! Our planner strongly recommended Sunset Grille to us. From the very beginning (almost TWO!! year before our wedding) Jessica was there for us, helping us to put together our reception and answering all of my questions. She worked with us to stay within our budget and also helped organize our DJ and transportation for our guests. We were SOOOO excited when we saw the safari bus!! Walking into our reception, it was beyond my wildest dreams. It truly took my breath away! Jessica and her team went above and beyond creating a romantic evening for us and our guests. Mary and Kim has everything running seamlessly and kept the drinks coming! I didn’t want for anything the entire night - I so much as even thought about being thirty and one of the ladies showed up with a glass of water or a painkiller for me! Our guests have raved about how incredible the staff was!! And we all Loved the extra special napkin service, courtesy of Mary. The food was perfection! We had the roast pig, blackened mahi mahi, Mexican street corn, Caesar salad, and bacon Mac n cheese. I’m also super thankful that they set aside some of the appetizers for us! I’ve never had such phenomenal coconut shrimp!! Their entree was so creative and we heard it was even more delicious than it looked (and it looked phenomenal!) And the bar at Sunset Grille sure knows how to pour a good drink! Best painkillers ever!! We enjoyed ourselves so much, we came back for dinner early the next week. It made us so happy to see everyone again and to reminisce on our perfect night. Kim was so thoughtful as to share some of the photos she took of us during our cake cutting too!! We will be back for dinner, drinks, and catching up with everyone there (who we would absolutely call friends!!) hopefully...
Read moreWe had reservations for 7:45pm on a tuesday night and when we checked in, we opted to sit at the bar as usual.
The boyfriend order of an ultra (which the rest of the island said they were out of due to distribution) and I had a top shelf margarita. Muy bueno! I will mention here that the bar service is pretty slow, not because it was crowded. They were doing a lot of stocking and cleaning which affected the attentiveness.
We opted to order appetizers so we could sample more of the menu. We got the coconut shrimp and the margherita pizza. A coconut shrimp came out just a titch.Browner, than I prefer them with the flavor was amazing. The red pepper jelly, then they served with it was icing on the cake!
I took about twenty five minutes to get the pizza from the time.We ordered it until the time it was delivered but it came out super hot with gooey cheese. Delicious. If I had to say anything negative about the pizza, it is that the tomatoes were not sliced thin enough based on their ripeness. If they have been fresh hothouse tomatoes, they could have been sliced thick; however, these were under ripe, so they should have been sliced thin, allowing them to soften up during the baking process. We just picked him off and slice them in and added them as we needed.
We would definitely order this again.
Now we move on to the bathrooms. They were at the top of the stairs from the bar and you walk in one central door there is a counter there.Turn to the right and there are three rooms Each room has a sign that says all gender which has a sink a urinal and a toilet and they're all three visible from each of the other rooms. Additionally, none of the locks on the doors work so anyone can open the door on you at any time. I was super uncomfortable about this set up and would have major issues if my teenage daughter needed to use...
