nice park. they somehow made the side-walk, near the new playground, heat resistant or something? so barefoot toddler feet are safe from burns. very pretty, minimal mosquitoes. just a pleasant little park.
not the parks fault, but I knocked off a star because the younger parents I've come across here are socially inept. like covid made them forget how to interact with strangers ? my toddler, husband, and I went to the playground. Aside from one teacher and her three kids, everyone else seemed really uncomfortable letting their kids play amongst themselves. There was some serious hovering, parents ushering their older kids away from my toddler in case they 'hurt it'. This dude actually called my kid an it! it was all just very bizarre, everyone was just so worried that their kids, god forbid, would act like kids. so as far a playground fun, I'd recommend universal city park, much friendlier crowd with more...

UC has done a fantastic job of renovating the space and creating an environment that young families can really enjoy. Play PokemonGO? Loads of gyms and pokestops. Want a party space? You have a few to choose from for rental. Want to just take the kids to a park, bring em. Covered play spaces REALLY make a difference. Or, just want a place to walk and enjoy, it's really become perfect for that.

Probably the coolest thing was the huge long tree that you could walk on like a balance beam or jump over. I could not figure out what the basketball court was converted for, it was not for basketball though, not tennis. maybe ground hockey there was a net on the ground maybe for that. . There is a janky old basketball hoop in the parking lot but you can't even use that if anyone is parked I'm the lot. We went because google said there is a volleyball court, there is not.
