When this came up for my review which I try to do quite often I was so heartbroken to have to give this a one when typically I absolutely love this place and would have instantly gave it a 5 just on past experiences however on my recent visit I encountered new employees that I was not familiar with and was shocked at how different this place has become. I walked in expecting to get one particular item and of course got distracted by the clearance items that were being liquidated at a huge discount... And both items that I chose after carefully looking at the signs having previous retail experience as a merchandiser for a large corporation knowing how the wording can be confusing I grabbed some planters which were clearly labeled at 50% off so I selected 2. As I was walking past I saw the Patriotic / Memorial items that were marked down at 75% off and grabbed two red white and blue buntings for my business next year and proceeded to the counter. Mind you the tag was literally on the bar in which I grabbed these buntings and there were more on the Shelf. At the checkout both of my selections ring up at regular price and so I brought it to the attention of the cashier which was quite lovely. And rightfully so they called management to verify my sales error. Confident that he would come back and say that yes they are on sale being that it was clearly marked on the signage I had a pleasant chat with the clerk only for the man to come back and inform me that they were not on sale and when I pointed out that according to the signage it was he refused to honor the purchase which was quite embarrassing. Of course when I tried to reason with him he got embarrassed in front of his employees and stood his ground apparently trying to make some kind of a point. Of course at this time there were other customers in line and I didn't want to be ugly and I tried to be respectful as possible but when he would not budge I informed him in front of everyone what a disappointment he was and not honoring the old concept of the fact that the customer is always right. We all know that is an old philosophy that some people take advantage of but however in this case I was 100% correct and even went back to verify my possible mistake. Sure enough the items of the same selections were sitting there along with the signage and I was so disappointed that he did not honor your company in a respectful Manner and make that shopping experience a pleasant one especially in front of so many that were waiting in hopes that this would be concluded in a positive manner. Sadly I have had so many countless wonderful experiences here but this particular manager was a huge disappointment and truly not an asset to this local establishment. As you probably have already ascertained I refunded everything that I had purchased due to the unpleasant experience. So we canceled our order with a Tifton furniture store that has a similar couch that would be ready that Saturday. We purchased a moving truck to pick up sofa. I called the store to let them know I would be coming to pick up couch, it was not there and the representative stated it want be until next Tuesday or so.
