Farmers Home Furniture, Valdosta, GA After our relocation a year ago, we temporarily borrowed our daughter's kitchen table for our dining room. However, as the time came for her to reclaim it, we embarked on a search for a replacement. My wife found a table she liked at Farmer's Furniture and promptly placed an order, specifically requesting expedited delivery. Despite the truck being essentially full, the delivery supervisor accommodated our request and scheduled delivery for the following Friday. Upon the table's arrival, the delivery team assessed the situation and began moving it into our home. Unfortunately, during this process, the table top sustained minor scratches that were not identified in the store. Additionally, one of the delivery employees exhibited a less-than-pleasant attitude, making snide remarks and engaging in disagreements with my wife. Immediately after the crew left, I contacted Farmer's Furniture to address the situation and the missing chair. The clerk quickly identified the problematic employee without me mentioning names. Despite the initial hiccup, I explained the issue with the table top to the owner/manager, who assured me that a replacement table top would be delivered soon. Opting to avoid inconveniencing the store with another delivery, I chose to pick up the chair myself. Before leaving, I showed photos of the scratches to the delivery supervisor, who suggested I share them with the owner/manager. Without hesitation, the owner agreed to order a new table top and assured a hassle-free replacement. Notably, the owner/manager, along with two other employees (one being a replacement for the employee with the bad attitude who no longer works there), personally delivered the new table top to our home. Read moreI go in here to buy a mattress and instead, I upsize my bed, bought something straight off the floor because it was later in the afternoon. They had no one to disassemble it so we had to disassemble it from the floor ourselves. Carry it in the back of the house. It ended up getting damaged since they had no drivers or warehouse people. We took it home ourselves, and the lady that helped us loaded up, scratched one of the pieces I don’t see any of the damage until I get home so the next day I call about it and they will not do anything about it because they wanted to blame us for the damage versus take responsibility. As well, they are not allowed to sell off the floor without the bosses permission which she did anyway. Say that they will call me back to have their team come out and buffer out the damage that they did but yet has not contacted me back to get it fixed. Because we bought it off the floor, they gave us the wrong box spring so when we return, they give us a damage box spring. I'm out of state and need to purchase all of my home furniture (or the most important furnishings) by the time I have completed a travel assignment and get back to my home town of Valdosta. In saying this, I was willing to pay from my checking account, credit card, debit card or have money wired to them from my bank which is less than 3 miles from this store. This is so the items could be paid for, ordered, and be ready for delivery upon my return. They told me that this was illegal (which it isn't). I asked what can I do to get this taken care of? Kristy, the "credit manager" stated "we are just not going to do it this way. You'll have to go to another store." Then she hung the phone up on me. Unbelievable. This is absolutely unprofessional and rude. I am awaiting a return call from corporate to report this behavior.
