Absolutely amazing escape room experience! My group and I went in and did Dolls attic, and while there were some minor things that went wrong (mostly on our end) it was so much fun! The people running it were super nice, they talked us through stuff we missed and the many different approaches, and were over all very laid back about everything which made the place and the game feel super comfortable and not at all stressful. The specific room we did, Dolls attic, had really cool ambience and a few interesting tricks that I really enjoyed. The room wasn't too easy or too hard at all, it was very nicely in the middle. The prices were so nice as well. Like don't get me wrong, I love the other escape room businesses in the area too and I plan to go to all of them and complete as many rooms as possible, but it was extra nice for this business to have some easier prices since many people in our group are feeling very tight on money a lot of the time. So we can't wait to come back, then do snatched then the pirate one next! I highly recommend coming here and trying it. The rooms are even really nice to do with just 2 people, so if you let yourself relax and focus on the fun, you won't regret coming! Thank you lots, TER💖

The room itself was fine. However, the conduct of the owners of this establishment is grossly unprofessional. After my nephew left a modest review on Google, he was contacted by the organization and told to take it down. Screenshots of the texts are attached—names have been redacted for privacy. Because the review was less than perfect and included honest critiques, they responded with a message that implicitly threatened legal action by referencing a signed waiver. Of course, the Consumer Review Fairness Act of 2016 renders any contract null and void if it attempts to prevent a customer from leaving honest feedback. You can be certain that the reviews here are grossly inflated, as others have undoubtedly been pressured into removing their honest opinions. Do not waste your time or money on this company. There are other escape rooms in the area that are far more professional in their interactions with customers.

I really enjoyed the Doll's Attic escape room! My fiancee and I have done a lot of escape rooms and we really loved the entire experience here. The bright colors automatically draw you in; inside the room is creepy and on point with the theme to get you into the game. The owners/game masters are really cool, down to Earth people which overall made this one of my favorite escape room experiences.

Edit: First of all, I didn't know there was a shooting at the Vancouver Mall until just recently and would like to apologize for the bad timing of my review. Second I would like to comend your daughter for her situational awareness and the ability to act in the face of danger.

However, my review still stands as the shooting or the acts of another company have nothing to do with me or my review. I'm not associated with any escape room company...

This was my first ever escape room and after going to a few others now , I realized that this one is not worth the money or time.

First off the introduction was weird. We did the pirate themed room. The guy lead us to the room and went over the rules which was pretty standard, but he complained about what other people had destroyed in the room. Also instead of setting the scene, he told us he was trying to sell a table in there for like 5 grand and said its not part of the room(so... what the hell have it in there). He then told us that we are trapped in the brig and need to escape. No story, no set up, no acting, just a grumpy early 50 year old man. An then we started.

Most puzzles in the escape room have meaning and flow into the next one as they are connected. This one didn't. Things were placed in the room that didn't have purpose to any of the puzzles and were constantly checked for clues. We had two really game breaking moments in the room. First was to use a hook to pull a barrel towards the cell door in order to access it. However the hook kept falling apart. So we call the grumpy man and he came into the room and said "you need to pull it gently" to which we showed him that we were and the hook fell off again. He then look at the pvc coupling and asked, " Did you pull the blue tape off of this?". My girlfriend and I looked at each other and replied no. Its like this guy was already looking for something to accuse us of breaking. I explained that the coupling didn't fit to the broomstick well enough to hold the hook and he replied with "thats because its broken". Well no duh, but shouldn't it have been replaced instead of putting blue tape on it to fix it? I mean a 1 inch coupling is like a $1.50 at home depot. Anyway, he rolled the barrel to us and we continued.

We got to the last stage and had almost the last one of the 4 treasures to secure or freedom... I really don't know it didn't make sense story wise, anyway we then had to shoot into these barrels, don't ask me why, to get the last piece. I remember the guy explaining to us how to use the flashlight on the highest setting and to point and then wait, then to point again. So we knew the sequence of shots needed for each barrel and attempted to do so but the first barrel kept double triggering due to a terrible light sensor. And then we had to wait for a minute for it to reset. We attempted multiple times(like 5 or 6), but then the hour was up.

A young woman entered the room and was super nice about explaining everything. We showed her the issue with the barrel and she had the same issue we had. "Well thats not good" is what she replied, but didn't mention anything about getting it fixed. She asked if we had anymore questions, but the room was frustrating from the grumpy man, to the setting/setup, and the puzzles that my girlfriend and I wanted to just "escape" 🤣.

We faked smiled to the front desk lady, who was super nice, and said we had a good time(which was a lie) and left.

Final thoughts: Probably the worst escape room my girlfriend has ever been too and myself included. Escape rooms are supposed to sell us the experience of an escape and boy it did, in all the wrong ways. So much so that we really wanted to escape this place and never come back. With two game breaking moments, a grumpy middle aged man, terrible set up horrible story telling and bad puzzle flow this is a room I'm glad we never have to escape from again.

Final review: Story: 2 out of 10 Set up: 1 out of 10 Rules: 3 out of 10 Puzzles: 4 out of 10 Puzzle flow: 2 out of 10 Staff: 8 out of 10(except grumpy old man,...

Like we told your partner we weren’t planning to leave a negative review until we received an extremely rude phone call from him. That call is what solidified our decision to speak up—because instead of listening to our concerns, his response was condescending and dismissive. We gave multiple reasons why we didn’t enjoy our experience. The escape room felt poorly designed and overly difficult, which was never clearly advertised. The staff did not explain the game well or clues so we just ended up getting told what to do instead of playing the game. But instead of hearing us out, he kept repeating, “Well, why?”—as if our dissatisfaction wasn’t valid. We were paying customers who simply had a bad experience. You chose to call us after the fact—not to sincerely resolve things—but to argue and defend your business while belittling us. That’s not customer service, it’s damage control. Accusing us of fraud or being “malicious young ladies” is wildly inappropriate and just proves our point further. If this is how you respond to honest feedback, that says more about your business than our review ever could. Write as many responses as you’d like on your own Google reviews—we’re confident anyone reading them will see exactly what kind of operation you’re running.

Our experience at this escape room was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The room itself did not feel like a true escape room — the puzzles were unreasonably difficult and confusing, with no clear guidance or structure, and that level of difficulty was never communicated in advance. On top of that, the staff was rude and dismissive when we asked for help.

After leaving an honest review, we were contacted and pressured to take it down. The owner was particularly disrespectful and unprofessional during the phone call, which only reinforced how poorly this business is run. Overall, this was not an enjoyable experience, and we cannot recommend...

My boyfriend and I did this escape room and were so disappointed. We did dolls attic. The room design immediately threw us off. There were random animatronics that had nothing to do with the story, which was also terrible. It was difficult to piece together and felt very lazily done. Considering how long they’ve been open you’d think they’d have time to refine it and make it make a bit more sense.

The room was also very boring in terms of the puzzles. I think it’s good for kids but it’s all just unlock something, get a hint for the next lock, unlock that. Whenever there was something to do it didn’t work well and we had to have the game master help us. The UV flashlight died and we kept having to rearrange the batteries to get it to work. The calculator didn’t work. Some things were not visible and had to be explained.

The game master also was not very attentive. She didn’t seem to know where we were in the story at any point despite the cameras, and we had to explain what puzzle we had done and where we were which sometimes led to hints for past/solved items being given instead.

This is my sixth escape room and is the exact same price as the other two locations I’ve been to, if not more expensive. The excuses of being cheaply priced aren’t even an excuse, just inaccurate.

I really recommend NW escape experiences. It’s priced the same per person and is much better quality, also located here...
