Paris Hair Design Salon by Raphael — Attraction in Venice

I moved to Venice a year ago. My efforts to find a ‘truly good’ stylist: one who was knowledgeable, skilled (cuts evenly and effectively to achieve a good looking hair style), takes the time to learn about about how their client lives so that the style matched that life and could work with that level of activity, the client’s hair management strengths, weaknesses and daily time investment desire, what style types they like, what has worked for them in the past and what didn’t work.

Some stylists asked some of these questions, but none of them REALLY LISTENED to my answers! When I walked out their doors it almost always ended up being what they wanted for me and/or what they wanted to do and boy, was it going to cost me a lot and it sure did! At their register, at home struggling to re-create the style and an uneven mess as the hair began to grow out! Why was it so hard to find a good hair stylist? My search took me to 6 of the most expensive and highly advertised salons in Sarasota and Venice!

Not one of them even came close to all of the value I received from RAPHAEL, a Truly Great Hair Stylist that was only 10 mins away from me, all the time. The VERY BEST is Raphael, at Paris Hair Design Salon in Venice! He will listen, learn about YOU and YOUR HAIR. He will teach you how to easily ‘live with’ your hair and enjoy the ease of having a great hairstyle, even when you are managing and recreating it at home. He will do the part that matters the most: giving you a skillfully cut/ hair style, that flows as it is designed to because the cut is GREAT. What a difference it outcome when your stylist really knows hair: how it acts, reacts, what it needs AND how to cut all kinds of hair! He gives you a great cut! It falls into place time and time again because he learned about your needs, your hair’s individual traits and cut your hair for YOUR BENEFIT, not what he wants to do! He is a true professional! Everything I hoped for and more AND his fees were far, far more reasonable that those less skilled. I also didn’t have one bit of pressure to buy any ‘products’ when I left. I actually had to ask him if he sold a product he used that day! 😂 What a change! I can’t wait to go back for my next appt.! Friends, Raphael honestly is wonderful! Go see for yourself! We have been settling for far less without realizing it….or maybe you do but dread finding ‘someone new.’ I just did the work for all of us due to being new here. Today was my second time at Raphael’s salon. I really love the new venue! He did such a great job with my hair the last time that I felt confident enough to let him cut it shorter and he did it beautifully. The color he put in was perfect and the conversation as interesting as ever. I made sure to book my next appointment as I’m terrible at keeping up with my hair......

I went to Paris Hair Design as a result of seeing the magic words ‘Vidal Sassoon trained’ on their website and am so thrilled to have found Raphael. I walked in yesterday with straggly, badly colored hair and walked out with a fabulous new hairstyle and a beautiful even color. He really is a master of his trade - and such an interesting and well traveled person! The time just flew by as I relaxed in the quirky ambience of this beautiful salon. I loved everything about it and everyone working there exuded friendliness and professionalism. I’ve never felt so comfortable at the hairdressers. They make you feel truly welcome and you know from the moment you walk in that this is going to be a good experience....

Disclaimer : this starts out as a negative Nancy comment but be assured this a preface to highly satisfied and happy girl !

New to the area; I was skeptical to try a yet another salon or hairdresser after a couple stints of unforgiving highlights that left my hair broken and overbleached on top of new found joys of added environmental stressors:

I.. was sure ..he was going to Cut My Hair Off and tone me down. Instead, he explained what he will do very simply and proceeded to blend my highlights perfectly to match my outgrown color without added heat or stingingly strong chemicals.

Turns out his care products were just what my treeses needed. The shampoo and conditioner is made from natural almond and honey and smells delightful. My hair looked, smelled and felt great. I was stunned and in love with what he did in virtually little to no time. I even asked if I needed to cut my hair and he gave me tips to care for my hair rather than tack on a other service.

On top of a nice highlight experience. I truly felt revived. Thank you . I learned he is also very nice person once you spent some time talking with him and has done beautiful work around town.

I found him coworker suggested his salon after I found myself admiring her long and pristine blonde hair. Glad I don't have to look around...
