Wow. I thought I might be walking into another tourist trap sharks teeth store, but boy howdy I was wrong. It’s hard to describe how special this place is, you just have to go in and see it for yourself. Not only does it contain a spectacular variety of shark’s teeth, but there’s an amazing crystal gem selection as well (I purchased a piece of rare Amethyst). But the element that brings it all together is the manager, Don. His knowledge and compassion shine, and when you get him started on a fossil, you can tell a spark lights in his eyes. Go there during the slow times, like 2 pm or a Sunday afternoon so you can have the store to yourself and get the full tour from him. There’s even a free fossil bin for the kiddos, as well as the BEST kind of sifters, beginners books and toys that are sure to spark interest in the natural world for your little one. Did I mention you can’t beat the prices for the high quality of special items throughout the store? Stop reading this and go there, it’s truly a place of...
Read moreI can't say enough great things about this incredible fossil shop and its generous owner, Jeff. I stopped by while on vacation, planning a fossil dig for my preschool class, and after hearing about the project, Jeff kindly donated a box of real fossils for the kids to explore. His generosity and passion for paleontology absolutely blew me away.
The shop itself is a hidden gem — packed with an amazing variety of fossils, including some of the coolest shark teeth and fossils I've seen. They also had really creative "fossil find" holders shaped like ocean waves, rays, megalodon teeth, sand dollars and more — perfect for engaging young learners. We even picked up some fun gold shark coins to hand out as little treasures for our dig.
Whether you're a teacher, a fossil enthusiast, or just looking for a unique gift, this place is a must-visit. Thank you again, Jeff, for making our preschool fossil dig such a...
Read moreAlways love when coming to visit to stop by Earth Treasures. Store has a wide variety of wonderful things from nature, from fossils, to shark teeth, to beautiful crystals. Raw and jewelry set. My kids always love coming and seeing the free fossil bin, but now the shark tooth claw game! They even let me kids try for free. When my daughter (6) didn’t win, the owner gave her a small bag of teeth and told her “everyone wins” which made her day! My son pulled a Meg tooth from the claw too! The best part is the variety of teeth for purchase but also for education in their fossil museum. Staff is extremely knowledgeable on the fossils and will take the time to identify things you may find in your beach searches. If you’re in Venice, I highly recommend stopping in. It’s well worth the look and is a small business I love supporting when...
