Suncoast Adventure Tours and Charters — Attraction in Venice

We had an absolutely wonderful time with Captain Karie on the water last week for our 4 year wedding anniversary. We didn't book ahead because the weather reports weren't looking promising, but when we saw the afternoon was going to be clear for a bit, my husband called in and asked about availability. Karie offered to take us out an hour earlier if we could get there in time so that we could beat the thunderstorms on the horizon, so we headed right over.

Only minutes out of the gate, we lucked out with a pod of dolphins ready to play in the boat wake and they followed us for a good ten minutes!

The rest of the journey brought us around the bay, a few more dolphins that were more interested in food than us, and the island full of spoonbills, herons, and egrets. It was an absolutely beautiful day, even though you could see the clouds on the other side of the key. We really had the best luck that day!

Captain Karie himself is a pleasure to chat with. An ex-pat of the tech industry, he knows first hand the desire to get away from the rat race and enjoy the moment on the water. Future goals, I'm telling you.

BEST DAY EVER! What an incredible Captain, boat and amazing waters. We went out today (me, my husband, my mother in law, my one year old daughter and our two friends). It was amazing. Captain Karie was so knowledgeable about the area and the waters. Since we had my daughter, I am on more high alert but he was an excellent driver and I felt so safe the whole time. Plus, he’s totally laid back and personable. He made the day amazing- we snorkeled, took some drives, we saw Manatees and Dolphins and the captain even got the dolphins to do jumps in our wake... he knew exactly where they were and what they would do. He also knew exactly where to find cool sand dollars, etc and made sure we found them. My husband is not a people person but made a point to say how much he loved the captain and enjoyed his company. We can’t wait to recommend this charter to our guests who rent our vacation rental and to all our friends - not to mention that we will make it a point to do this each time we come down to visit....

Five stars are not enough for Capt. Karie. We have been customers for 4 years - ever since we bought a vacation home in the area. We have taken boating lessons from him, and chartered him and his boat at least a couple times a year since then. Before we ever set foot on his boat, we did our research - checking reviews and talking directly to him. He is simply the best. He knows the area so well. He finds unique places to moor for a swim, to find shells, snorkel or even stop at a great waterside restaurant or bar for a quick drink or a snack. He has always treated us and our guests as if we were friends or family. I have recommended him to friends that come to the area on their own, and they have nothing but great things to say about their experience. Karie is also a great conversationalist - he has a lot of experiences that he will share if you start talking about anything from work experiences to concerts and everything in between.
