I tried very hard to give this local, small business a chance. And I waited a long time and gave it a great deal of thought before writing this review because I know how impactful reviews are to small businesses. But enough is enough.
I patronized this store at least half a dozen times, each time hoping my last negative experience was just a fluke, and that a new visit would allow this business to show me it was worth my time and money. Reliably, I was served by the same middle aged woman whose customer service was absolutely atrocious. She continually behaved in a dismissive and extremely unhelpful manner. When I tried to explain my needs, she repeatedly interrupted and corrected me and didn't try to provide helpful products from their store. I later discovered that they sell exactly what I needed displayed at their checkout counter and she could have easily pointed me to it. On another visit, when I tried to bring in one of their largest bottles for a refill, she found fault with that too and wouldn't refill it.
All of these actions would be fine, if they were simply done with a modicum of kindness and a spirit of cooperation. Sometimes, things don't work out and that's okay; we can at least be civil to each other. But this woman's consistently nasty attitude and haughty demeanor were unnecessary and completely offensive. I do understand that customer service is hard work, so each time I treated her with respect and expected the same in return. But I left sorely disappointed every time and wondered why I was trying so hard to patronize a business that clearly didn't want my money. I have decided to express my disapproval by withholding my dollars and never, ever patronizing this establishment again. Instead, I take my business a couple of blocks away to their competitor, VomFASS, where I am treated extremely well by each and every person who...
Read moreBeen here many times and have recommended it to other people. Have brought back large bottles and been told we had to clean them. So this time we read the instructions multiple times and followed them exactly as they read. We let the bottles dry overnight. We were excited to bring them back and get refills (we come from out of town) and we were chastised about how poorly we had cleaned them from the minute the middle aged woman who was working there. When we asked what we should’ve done differently, we were told we should use a scrub brush (that is sold at the store) and engage in a 3 day process including drying them in the oven at 100 degrees just so we can get a refill. This was not written on the instructions. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience and felt like we were being lectured and scolded. It made us feel like should find a place that wants our business — it is certainly not...
