Highland Woods Community Center — Attraction in Vincennes

Very nice place to go, especially for the Catholic Schools Mega Bingo. However, I wish they would pave the parking lot, take out and smooth the ruts in the grassy/gravel areas. Very difficult on handicapped people. During these special bingo days and "smoke breaks" are allowed, perhaps a different entrance or door as the smokers congregate at the main doors. Non-smokers still gag and the smell/smoke travels back indoors and into the restrooms. The main doors are often open or people going in and out and depending upon the weather the facility can become quite cold. Upon the mega bingo events, of which I would guess is at least 80% women, 6 restroom stalls is not really adequate and there are several of which are handicapped or use walkers, only one stall for those individuals? Wow! The wait time for those who need that stall is even longer! A second set of restrooms is desperately needed! And finally, when hundreds use those restrooms, water ends up all over the countertop...no way to clean it up with just blow dryers. Even a stack of paper towels would greatly help and clothing may not get soaked by cleaning into the faucet. Now, other than my issues, I will say the CEF or the Catholic Schools do a fantastic job with organization, sales, prizes, bingo caller, microphones, snacks and this time I noticed new folding chairs (have not been in a couple years), I have to give my KUDOS to those who work hardxat putting this event together for the citizens of Vincennes and surrounding towns and...
