Sorry long review but please read! I would highly recommend NOT scheduling with Emily Richards. I had a terrible first experience with her. I scheduled my appointment for highlights and a cut a month in advance. Emily texted me the day of my appointment stating she is running behind and wanted to see if I could come in an hour later. I said that was fine and we moved my appointment to 4pm. She then proceeded to ask what I wanted to do with my hair. I sent her pictures of examples of really bright blonde hair and said “I want to work towards getting this”. She asked me to send a picture of my current hair and what I had done with my hair the previous 1-2 year dye wise. I sent her a picture of my hair which was decently light blonde at the bottom and the roots were a dirty blonde. She then told me that we would need to do a remover treatment on my hair. She said it would add an hour to my appointment time on top of the hour I already lost and she needed to leave at 6. She offered me other dates that would not work as my husband and I work full time and have 2 young children. She said it would take 4-6 hours to do my hair. I was upset that she was cancelling on me and wanted my hair done so I then offered to just go towards more of my natural color dark blonde/ light brown and sent her examples. At this points its 3:30 and I have to leave for the appointment if she's able to do the more natural color. I arrive at my appointment at 4 and still have not heard from her. I let her know I was there and she texted back she was still with a client. 15 minutes later she texted me saying that she would need to do the same process on my hair and go lighter to get the cool dark color that I sent her. At this point I am super upset and had already been crying for over an hour because of frustration and disappointment since I was excited about getting my hair done. I let her know that I truly believe no matter what I would have asked for she would not have had time for my appointment. I told her I hope she doesn't treat other clients like this. That if she knew she was on a time crunch she should have reached out to me before my appointment date. I let her know I do not plan on rescheduling with her. She responded to my message in a very demeaning way and not very apologetic. She texted saying “you’re right you won't be scheduling because you are not welcome to reschedule with me when you cannot be understanding of the process it takes”. It was all a blessing in disguise because I would not want someone like that working on my hair. I was able to get in with an amazing stylist and guess what...she DID my blonde highlights and it took only a little over 2 hours. She is confident we will get to the ice white blonde in the next 2 appointments. Plus its already very close! My hair still feels healthy and looks beautiful. I got so many complements on it. Read moreI’ve been to this salon lofts multiple times for hair and nails, but never really had an issue. I decided to book with Jacci Hutchinson this time because her profile photo made her seem like a good vibe. I booked my appointment on Monday, August 11th for the following Saturday, August 16th at 11:45am. I received a confirmation text and email for this appointment. I showed up on time and her loft door was closed. I waited a few minutes thinking another appointment was just running a bit long. I texted her and eventually knocked when I did not receive a reply. I still got no answer. I waited for 20 minutes outside of her loft door and she never even checked to see if I was waiting. I left after 20 minutes of no response. She finally got back to me almost an HOUR AFTER my appointment time. By this time I had already booked with someone else for a different day. She said she got caught up talking with her previous client and said I could come back at 2pm. My appointment was for 11:45, not 2. I shouldn’t have to come back because she missed my appointment. My time is valuable and I can’t just drop other plans to accommodate her missing my appointment. I’ve been in customer service for nearly 10 years and this is unacceptable. She missed my appointment because she couldn't end a conversation. This was a complete waste of my time. I decided to let her know that this was not very professional and I won’t be booking again, so another client does not experience what I did. Her response was incredibly rude and nasty considering she was the one who missed my appointment and not the other way around. I am already very blonde and came in asking for my roots to be touched up and to pull some of the blonde all the way through to get rid of some brassy spots. Something I’ve gotten done many times. I booked the all over color and style that shows ‘$80 and up’ on her page. Well, my hair is BROWN now. Several shades darker than the blonde I’ve always had! I could have lived with that but then she charged me $245 for it!!! For something no where remotely close to what I wanted. And I was already blonde to begin with. I understand it can be challenging to get people blonde, but she took me dark when I just wanted to keep the same color!
