It's definitely one of the nicer Ollie's in the area. They rearranged the store and it takes a minute to find everything. My only quarrel is they have some of the same stuff other stores have for the same price. They do have a few things cheaper but they are mostly out of season things they got from big box stores. The gold mine here is the food section. They actually have some really great deals in that area. When the candles are on sale it's a decent buy but for the most part you're better off going to Walmart for those. The holiday decorations are about the same price as Walmart as well. I was surprised at how much they wanted for some of their books. Again, you have to catch them on sale to get a deal. The store is clean for the most part, just pray you don't have to use the restroom. You can find some deals on rugs. Kitchenware is another area you can save a buck or two. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. It seems they enjoy working there and it shows. They have some deals but you have to dig for them....
Read moreWe checked out another asian buffet here. It was a Japanese sushi buffet place. The establisment was clean, the food looked fresh & well maintained on the buffet. I love the habachi. I wish they had more chinese selection type foods enough to match how many choices of sushi they had. SOme black pepper chicken or pepper steak would've been nice. but they have the teryaki chiken on a stick, sweet & sour chicken, lomein, different options of shrimp, brocoli chicken. As far as asian buffet compared to the ones I have tried since being in Virginia, this one is the best so far. If you like sushi, you would probably rate it even higher. But I rated it a little lower because of the lack of other selctions outside of suchi offered & the price is crazy high. It is over $21 per adult & I believe around $13 or $14 per kid over age 5. I rate it a 3 for...
Read moreThe truth about Hilltop is that honestly it only has a few good stores to shop at and I mean the entire area regardless of Hilltop north east south or west including Regency Hilltop shopping center where Planet Fitness and Kelly's Tavern and the Dollar Tree and Navy Federal are the only few establishments that truly matter. Even Starbucks could not survive nor a Food Lion! With so much tourism I feel like that marketing is being missed and to guide traffic from the oceanfront at how close Hilltop is there is no reason why there shouldn't be way more business that happens regularly between too few miles away from literally the sand. I'm a local I live in Hilltop. But the truth of the matter remains exactly...
