Is it possible to give a rating of more than five stars? My husband and I recently had both our wedding ceremony and reception held here and it was everything I could have ever wanted! Both of us were living abroad at the time we started planning the wedding and we both knew we wanted to have something small, cozy, and intimate so this venue was everything we could have asked for. I grew up here in Wake Forest and only knew this location as the place "the old ice cream shop used to be" so I was astounded when I met Addison and took a tour of the place; it had the perfect ambience we were looking for while simultaneously holding some of that historic charm South Main Street is known for. Not only did we have access to the entire venue throughout the day but we were also allowed to go to the adjoining house next door. There were two different rooms to get ready in, a kitchen to prepare food, and a dining room for people to hang out in and chat. We held a brunch for the Wedding Party after the rehearsal and this was the perfect location for that. Speaking of the owner, Addison was a dream to work with and was extremely accommodating—she had no problem with that fact that we weren't physically there for most of the planning process, she was always readily available when we needed her, and she was extremely helpful when it came to the logistics and design of the wedding. The big day went off smoothly and without the slightest hitch because Addison and her team were there to make sure everything functioned and proceeded the way it needed to. I can't recommend this place ENOUGH... it was honestly perfect and I am so happy and grateful that we got to hold such an important event here. The memories from this day will be cherished forever and I have The Corner & Meeting House Wake Forest to...
Read moreIf you are looking for the most friendly, professional, accommodating, surprisingly very affordable, gorgeous, flexible venue: look no further! The ladies of The Corner and Meeting House of Wake Forest made our wedding the most amazing experience possible. I cannot possibly praise this venue enough! From the beginning, Addison brought such a calm and easygoing attitude to the table. She worked with our schedule for set up and breakdown times, she helped with decor and tablecloths, she troubleshot equipment setup with our DJ, she participated in our costume themed wedding - and that’s just the beginning. The whole crew went out of their way to make every moment of our wedding incredible, even going so far as to pick up our food when the catering company dropped the ball and literally MAKING T-SHIRTS TO COMMEMORATE THE DAY! Seriously, you would be remiss to pass up to opportunity to book an event here. We have considered making up special occasions just to be able to go back!
With high ceilings, an open floor plan, natural light, a scenic courtyard with string lights and a fire pit, and private rooms upstairs for getting ready, generous and accommodating staff, the Corner is unmatched in its...
Read moreThis venue is everything you have hoped for, right here in our town! I hosted my wedding ceremony and reception for 50 here on October 14th, and I couldn't be happier. We rented the entire venue and manor home next door for the entire day. I used the bridal parlor (2 rooms plus a full bath) to get ready with stepdaughter, and my husband, son, and stepson hung out in the men's parlor. Addison and Mandy were amazing through the whole process. They stayed on top of the timeline and decor plans to make sure my vision came to life with my coordinator leading the charge. The weather behaved, and we were able to have cocktail hour on the patio with bar and catering outside while the room was flipped from ceremony to reception. My day was a dream, and The Corner made it come true! The photo ops abound, from the staircase to the historic wood floors, chandeliers, and fairy lights. The space at its core it beautiful and lends itself to many decor styles. Very easy to work with and very accommodating. Quick response to any questions I had along the way. I can't say enough...
