There are also comfortable gathering spots to sort through Pokemon cards, play some casual games, and just hang out. Everything is safe and clean, with lots of fun demo games to play and what feels like endless books, manga, movies, comic books, figures, stuffies, cards, gaming accessories, and more. You could spend an entire day in this store, and still not get through everything, plus they are always adding new stuff so it’s always fun to drop in.

I appreciate the atmosphere the most 🥹 you can come with your friends and family, and there are lots of parents sharing their interests with their kids, and everyone always has a blast. Magpie & Crow is my favorite addition to Wake Forest since I’ve lived here and I could go on forever about how awesome this place...

Back when Magpie and Crow was being built and established I was really excited to have a local games shop besides the GameStop in Wake Forest. I have frequented the store ever since it opened and I’m always excited to see what they have whenever I visit. The rotating collection keeps things interesting and I get to stay on the hunt for new items that I’m be interested in. They carry everything from vintage Pokémon cards, vinyl, vintage games and consoles, to figurines. It is a very good collection that is always changing so if I walk in and nothing interests me I’ll just drop by a few weeks later and the selection will have new items. I’ve also done several trade-ins with them and it has been a pleasure each time. The staff have good knowledge about products and always let me know the details of what I need to know about items I am trading-in or buying. Their store credit system is also one of the more customer friendly ones I’ve seen from local shops. Overall it is a very nice store with friendly staff and a changing collection. I'm going to be honest, this store isn't exactly my scene. It isn't somewhere I would normally go to but boy am I glad I stumbled across it. I was cleaning out my storage unit and needed to get rid of some games/memorabilia, I was mentally and physically exhausted and I happened to find this place after a quick google search. I walked in, not expecting much, and was greeted by the nicest human beings. Alec especially. Alec was as kind as he could be and patient with me considering I had four containers of things to have him go through and again, I was beyond exhausted and just not mentally there. Alec took the time to break everything down for me, gave me a fair price for everything, and even took the time to show me around his store. I was very impressed at what I saw. It really meant a lot to take that extra few minutes to educate me on what their store was about. I'm excited to go back and to spread the word of this place.
