I was recently seen at this Urgent Care location. My experiences have always been pleasant at this Urgent Care. My last visit to Urgent Care still has me furious. Upon arrival at the Warrington location my wife and I were being seen for a cough and sinus infections. Both of us had taken two COVID tests that came back negative. While my wife was in a separate room l, I heard Emma complaining outside my room to another staff member saying âpeople like us that have COVID symptoms should not be allowed in the building. If they are to receive any treatment they should be at the end of the line behind d everyone that is vaccinated. Keep in mind, I completed online registration, separate forms upon my arrival, and spoke with the initial nurse who took my vitals, so clearly neither of us had COVID. I cannot believe how unprofessional this was especially coming from the doctor in charge that day.
During my evaluation by Emma, I was forced to listen to how my wife was doing the country a dos service and how educated people are vaccinated. Emma said to me that my wife informed her that she was still gathering information about the vaccine. I said to Emma, that itâs her body and she can make her own decisions.
I am so angry that a doctor or alleged doctor would discuss my wifeâs decision with me. Secondly, she has a lot of nerve commenting to other staff members about not wanting to treat patients that have COVID symptoms.
Hello, you are a doctor. Your job entails treating patients regardless of symptoms. You have an obligation especially since you work at an urgent care facility to be compassionate and treat all patients. IF IT IS THAT BAD, QUIT. Doctors donât have the option to discriminate against patients. I know plenty of doctors who may not want to deal with certain patients, however they do their job and keep their opinions to themself. You have no business pushing your opinions n your patients. Secondly, if you were my employee, I would fire you for being overheard saying that patients âlike usâ didnât deserve treatment.
If it wasnât for my wife I would have snapped while in this facility.
It is a true shame as the other staff members have always been great. Diane was wonderful and an example of what a true professional is.
I cannot believe that I even need to review this facility for negative conduct and experience. I wanted to provide a positive review for Diane, but Emmaâs actions truly have soured me on wanting to go back to this facility.
I would hope that management or her superiors contact me privately as I cannot believe that we were treated this way as patients.
I hope that Emmaâs behavior is addressed l, as this is a terrible look...
Read moreI spent almost two hours waiting to be seen yesterday. When I arrived there was only one other person in the waiting room with me. I was taken back to a procedure room because I was there to be seen for an injury to my finger ( I cut the tip off with an exacto blade) I arrived with it bandaged with a bandaid. The doctor came in to my room and simply said âwhats upâ I was caught off guard..she asked again âwhatâs upâ I explained to her why I was there â without looking at the injury (still bandaged) she went looking for what she called âfoam stuffâ she left the room I could over hear her asking the nurses for it - no one could locate what she was looking for and she could not recall what it was called. I asked her, could we just put a barrier on my finger like new skin or something similar and she said âthatâs what that foam stuff is for but I donât do the ordering I just show up and workâ She proceeded to grab a nitrate stick - mind you I still have the bandaid on my finger , she still hasnât looked at it. I asked her if we really had to cauterize it, that I felt as though the bleeding was under control. She said âwe donât have to..do you want an antibioticâ I asked if I really needed one and she asked again if I felt like I should take one. Iâm not the doctor I didnât think I would be calling the shots. So I finally asked her if she wanted to look at it because this whole time she has still not even looked at my finger. I took the bandaid off and she says âits not that badâ She told the nurse âshe just needs some TLC Iâm going to head to another roomâ didnât say bye to me..no after care, I didnât leave with any instructions or discharge paper. Iâm completely appauled that this was my experience. I took better care at home than your staff did. I did not receive care at my appointment. It was a complete waste of time. I called to speak with a manager - the person who answered said that they were the manager but i dont believe them. requested my paperwork for insurance reasons and the whole report is wrong - they didnt even note the correct finger. still waiting for corrected paperwork with no response. would love for...
Read moreI was able to have a drive through COVID-19 testing without prior appointment, or without having a telemedicine appointment first. The staff is nice and friendly. Security checks you at the parking lot for COVID-19 test, and gives you a number. They are all nice and helpful.
The reason I couldnât give 5 stars is, I arrived at AFC Urgent Care Warrington at 9:07 AM. I waited for 5 hours in the âparking lotâ. They took my insurance card and driving license, and didnât give it back. Maybe, they are trying to prevent people from going away due to long wait times.
After I gave the test, which was about 2:15 PM or so, there were still 59 more people waiting. I was number 91. A guy drove by and asked if he can get tested. He got a response that 150 numbers are given for the day, and people are waiting. It can be reassessed after one hour or so if they can test more people.
I understand, âimmediately before Christmasâ, there is an abnormally high demand. They are working to meet the demand and itâs way over their normal capacity. â1-2 hours of wait timeâ could be reasonable. I was hungry and waiting for the call so that I can get tested, and I donât even know âwhich number was calledâ. It didnât seem very well organized to me.
I give 4 stars, because these people are really dedicated and working to serve the patients in the hardest time possible. AFC Urgent Care is very clean and well maintained. Staff, doctors, nurses are nice, friendly, and professional. Itâs easy to find parking. Sudden exposures to the COVID-19 may require an immediate test, and appointments can be extremely hard to find in other testing locations. Due to the urgency of my situation, I chose AFC Urgent Care and Iâm happy with their service ... I just wish the wait was...
