Gloria Sports & Spirits — Restaurant in Warrington Township

This launch was absolutely dismal at best. From warm flat beer to cold meatballs, and a burnt hamburger that tasted like a salt lick were only a few of the poor experiences. The pizza was mediocre cooked unevenly and burnt on one side, the french fries tasted like frozen out of the bag fries, most of the compliment sauces were cream based and heavy and not Inventive or creative, and the eggplant Parm had more sauce than eggplant as though it was taking a bath in it. And seriously, who serves an appetizer of potato chips out of a bag because that’s what they tasted like. Clearly, not enough emphasis was placed on food, quality, or preparation in advance of the soft opening. This place needs a quick reboot or it too will fail as the prior occupants. Great new addition to the Warrington plaza! We made our first visit to Gloria tonight and were pleasantly surprised.

The place has a modern sports bar vibe with garage style doors that open to the street. Service start to finish was good, but the food really stands out from other similar establishments.

The menu feels well thought out and elevated from your typical sports bar food. The wings, shaved kale and quinoa salad, and tiramisu were the highlights, and the kids loved their mac and cheese (they use a fun radiator noodle) and house-made chicken fingers. One minor criticism is that some of the fryer food was over salted, but I assume they will adjust that in the weeks to come.

My wife and I sat at the bar, Jamie came right over and gave us menus right away. Ordered the "Heater", the best margarita I have ever had !! Could not believe how good it was. We ordered the Boardwalk pizza and the Broad St. Dry Rub Wings with Sweet Heat Chili Crunch sauce on the side for dipping. I don't know what is in that rub, but it's legit, excellent wings ! Chili sauce , excellent ! Pizza had zero flop, really good, You can tell the ingredients are quality because both my wife and I did not feel stuffed after eating everything in site !
