I can’t believe this place!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I took a small piece of artwork there that somebody gave me along with the Groupon for the place to get it framed. I wanted the absolute most basic frame which was way more expensive than I thought it should’ve been. I told them I wanted to stay under the $150 amount and it seemed to irritate the guy. He wouldn’t give me any suggestions and only check prices. It’s like he didn’t even try to help me. After some price checks I settled on an ugly basic frame and cheap glass, totaling about $160. I wanted a matt, but that woulda put my total to about $360. So no go on that. I just wanted my picture protected better than it was which was a piece of plastic wrapped around and taped to it self.
Picture size: 24 x 10
The coupon buyer left a review about the price and the next day this place calls and leaves a 2:24 second voice mail saying they’re not gonna work on my art and to come pick it up, along with many other unnecessary comments and opinions . Couple days later they left another extra long voicemail.
When I send someone to go pick it up. They return it without a protective cover for some reason. If they weren’t gonna work on it. They could’ve at least put my piece back together before giving it back. Now it’s even less protected than it was before. If any water droplets would’ve gotten on and it would’ve been ruined. The guy was very rude. Wouldn’t just understand that I wanted something small and basic and was covered by the Groupon.
Not to mention the person I sent to pick it up got Told off by...
Read moreWow. What an experience. I expected more but all the reviews were years old. I got a Groupon for this establishment, and was supposed to get a 150$ credit towards framing. The piece was small, only 11” x 24”, and the most basic black metal frame cost 150$. And if I wanted it matted? Another 150! Just to cut a mat! I left a negative review on Groupon based on the pricing, and the proprietor called back multiple times to tell us that he would not frame our work, and to come pick it up.
My girlfriend was apprehensive to go, so I went in her place to pick up the artwork. He refunded our money and then proceeded to tell me that leaving a negative review is illegal. He said that we live in a “white supremacist country and you [I] am only able to leave a bad review because you [I] am white and rich.” Then he went on to say that I only gave a bad review because he was not white. I had never seen or talked to him before this point.
While I attempted to explain the review was based on predatory pricing to get around the Groupon deal. There were several extravagantly framed pieces of art I. The store much larger than mine for less than the total of just our framing job. I complained about a 150$ mat!!!! I do not know where the racial topic...
Read moreDistrict Camera recommended ArtFramePro for framing two portraits for my sister-in-law’s celebration of life, and I could not be more grateful. John, the owner and framer, was behind the scenes, meticulously crafting the frames. Though I never met him face-to-face, his attention to detail and expertise shone through in the flawless final product. Hanifa, who assisted me throughout the process, was incredibly patient, compassionate, and understanding. I was an emotional wreck given the circumstances, but she gently guided me every step of the way, answering all my questions with care and ensuring everything was handled seamlessly.
It should have been no surprise that District Camera recommended ArtFramePro, just as ArtFramePro later recommended District Camera. The mutual trust and respect between these two businesses say everything about their excellence. Entrusting ArtFramePro with framing the incredible work from District Camera was the perfect choice.
