It was one of those Saturdays where I just needed something different—something with good vibes, great food, and a little energy to shake off the week. After hearing so much about The Park at 14th, I decided to check it out for brunch. Everyone kept talking about the all-you-can-eat setup with bottomless mimosas, and I was curious to see what all the hype was about. Walking in, I immediately felt the vibe. The place is massive—four stories, each with its own character. The music hits you right away; R&B and hip-hop are playing, and you can feel the energy in the air. The space is upscale but not pretentious. It’s one of those spots where you feel like you can celebrate something or just relax and soak it all in. As soon as I got to my table, the server greeted me with the kind of hospitality you don’t forget. They brought out a sampler plate for the first round—brioche French toast, blackened salmon with mango sauce, jerk chicken wings, caramelized bacon, grits, mac & cheese, collard greens, scrambled eggs... The works. It was like brunch heaven on a plate. I wasn’t even halfway through it before I started wondering how I’d make room for more. And the mimosas? They weren’t kidding about the variety. Mango, pineapple, classic orange—you name it. Unlimited refills. It felt like the kind of indulgence that makes you forget whatever you had on your mind before walking in. The DJ was doing his thing, too. It wasn’t just background music; it was an experience. People were dancing, singing along, and celebrating. I noticed a group upstairs having a birthday party, with marquee letters spelling someone’s name. It added a special touch to the whole scene. When my server came back, I ordered another round of blackened salmon and grits—easily my favorite combo of the day. The flavors were perfect, the portions just right, and the service was impeccable. I couldn’t help but think, “Yeah, this place lives up to the hype.” After brunch, I wasn’t quite ready to head home, so I decided to wind down somewhere a little more chill. I walked over to PullUpDC, a spot I’d been meaning to check out. The vibe there was completely different—laid-back, intimate, and perfect for a post-brunch cool-down. I ordered for whie widow. omg! that took me to paradise and I was so calm and at peace. Looking back, it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday. From the high-energy brunch at The Park at 14th to the mellow, welcoming vibe at PullUpDC, it felt like I got the best of both worlds. Next time, I’ll definitely be back for dinner at The Park—and who knows? Maybe I’ll end the night at PullUpDC again. It’s a combo...

Read moreThe ambience was beautiful. They’re fully staffed. The food was midway good. You get a plate of everything for brunch, which includes macaroni and cheese, jerk, wings, sweet grits, collard greens, salmon, eggs pork bacon, French toast, potatoes, fruit you tried the plate and then you ask them to bring you more of what you like. The only problem with this is. It’s not unlimited Because you are waiting for staff within your two hour period I was only able to get one full bottle of mimosas and I wanted more French toast. They gave me one on my plate and two on my There was no other option for breakfast meat other than pork. I think that they should have turkey bacon or turkey sausage or chicken sausage. I wouldn’t be coming back again because of time frame I’m so happy I didn’t spend $175 on a sign so then be put out as sweet as the waitress was she came to the table and told us we had 15 minutes left when telling us that she could’ve brought other things to the table, such as a refill of drinks because mines was low then she came back within 10 to 12 minutes and said we were we need to go they’re waiting for our table if you pay over $200 for your birthday, I would like to sit there for at least three hours that gives the waitress and food people time to give us as much food as we like but $80 for one plate is ridiculous Nice concept I’ll be back if they change the time on the table I was rushed and the food could have been warm also give a choice between savory grits, butter, salt and pepper and then them nasty sweet grits green’s could’ve had more flavor The DC scene along with other cities, such as Atlanta, New York Chicago, etc. are getting out of hand with charging you more for less work and less quantity at this point I’m going to have to do my $200 in groceries making my own brunch and that’s perfectly fine with me it’s a better value also, for someone who doesn’t eat pork and people tell me you have chicken you have salmon that is not breakfast meat and I wasn’t crazy over them two but our waiter was lovely Ella but while they’re bringing signs, I wanted a refill but I get they have a job I think a buffet crew needs to do the bday stuff that way, I can optimize my two hours while being able to ask my waiter...
