What a wonderful monument to one of this country’s finest military leaders. Though it is a few feet away from one of Washington’s busiest streets, access is restricted and off limits. Amazing. We have grown to be such a fearful country. No wonder a rising generation has no idea who these figures are! Pathetic and shameful.

Small monument honoring General William Tecumseh Sherman. It was a little confusing at first with all the security fencing, but once you realize the "do not enter" signs mean do not enter the grass,l and not the monument or it's sidewalks then the confusion goes away.

The General is back, baby. At least as of mid-July, this iconic memorial can finally be climbed up on by everyone, and Uncle Billy certainly wouldn't have it any other way.

Really amazing to see, all the different types of statues around the city, takes you back through history, as each one has so much that went behind it, and what is representing.

I wish I had more time, to check out each and every one, properly. But most of them I saw by just riding bike, up and down the different paths of the city.

This is besides all the different architecture of each building throughout the city. Whether it is a museum, a government building, this city is really just one piece of art, a place you can spend plenty of time.

Just not easy to...
