The Big Bad Woof — Attraction in Washington

We’ve been coming to The Big Bad Woof for months now to get treats for our dog and have enjoyed the store and neighborhood feel. But they went above and beyond this last trip! I went in to get a jacket for my dog and really had no idea how to make sure the fit was right. I brought my dog in and that was a terrible idea. He’s super aggressive towards dogs and he was nervous. Julie offered to help me in the back of the store which was really their office and warehouse. She brought me several jackets for my dog to try on and kept coming back and forth to make sure we got one that fit and I was happy with. She never made me feel like I was being a nuisance, took time to chat with me, and showed me photos of her own dog. Several of the staff pet my dog, walked around us while they worked, and were so friendly. My husband and I originally started coming here to support a small business. We will keep coming here because of their excellent customer service, genuine love for what they do, and their commitment to helping serve the community...

What an awesome find. I went into the store with my new pup Lily last weekend. I kind of knew what I was looking for so I didn't think I needed a lot of help. Fast forward, I found the staff to be amazingly knowledgeable. Quite a difference from most local pet stores. I was especially impressed that the owner Penny spent a lot of time speaking with me about the fresh cooked food choices they offered. She even sent me home with samples and a cooler to keep them cold on a hot day! The store is a little bit out of the way for me, but I will definitely make the trip again and again. The staff is very welcoming, right off the bat I felt like I was talking to friends. The employees were very knowledgeable about cats and kittens, which was a great surprise. The employees were wonderfully helpful, letting us look at the cat carriers and discussing pros and cons. We bought toys and treats that were recommended by Teri*. All three of my cats were very spoiled tonight, which is just what they needed. We brought home a special needs kitten tonight! The employees helped make sure I got everything I needed to make life better and easier for this special little kitten and keep my two cats happy while we get used to the new normal.
