For the prices you’d expect the freshest seafood and top drawer service but you’d be lucky to get either.
Seafood a step above WF, but that’s not saying much. Sometimes iffy, on edge of being smelly.
My last experience, I was waiting in front of the counter but the kid behind the counter served somebody who’d come into the store after I did, before serving me. As it happened the Asian owner came out (I’m told he’s Korean but don’t know for a fact because I’ve never asked him) and I complained about the service. Said “I don’t like that.” He just scowled at me. Not the first time I’ve seen him being disagreeable.

Read moreA conveniently located shop to obtain fresh seafood, The Fishery - being a pretty small storefront - has a decent selection of seafood, and an unexpectedly large variety of other grocery items (veggies, rice, spices, etc.). The prices of the seafood seem to be pretty fair and comparable to most large grocery chains, which is nice.
While larger stores might have a somewhat more expansive selection seafood-wise, it's nice to see a free-standing seafood shop these days (large chains have undoubtedly withered their numbers down).
