It's still a work in progress, but the developers have made certain areas accessible to nearby residents with outdoor concerts, movies, etc. The attached photo shows the original hospital building which, along with other historic buildings, will be preserved and eventually repurposed.

My first snow at The Parks. It was wonderful. The best part, I didn't have to shovel any snow. A team cleared the streets and sidewalks and my car was in the garage, no snow to clean off. Whole Foods was open and folks were out enjoying the snow.

I'm biased because of how much I know. Some of the buildings still standing and being used had extremely severe black mold issues that were never addressed. Which is why the entire hospital was relocated to Bethesda. Despite the Whole Foods and new Apartments being developed, unless all the structures that has the black mold are demolished it will always be the same to me and not this up and coming...

As you know, Walter Reid hospital on Georgia Avenue is now shopping and living area. I did stop in on their opening week at the whole food and it was fun. I just went in to get fish which was on sale. So I'm glad I got it on sale. Parking was a bit of an issue but if you can get parking on the street, especially before they put all the meters out by all means, stop in and see...

Because I live here. Abrams Hall Senior Apartments only since December 2019. Open space galor on the grounds of the Historical former Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, you can do birding, walking, almost across from Rock Creek Park. Takoma Park Metro on the 54 metro bus or Silver Springs Metro on the 70/79, 10 minutes from Georgia. The jury is still deliberating. I am...
