If you have an iPhone or iPod they can fix your phone in no time at a relatively low cost, $40-70 depending on model. They have the parts in stock and will take care of you in minutes.
Unfortunately I did not have an iPhone. I had a cracked Samsung Galaxy S3 which required them to order a part. A repair shop in Cleveland where I broke the phone quoted me $199 for it but due to needing a week for the part I was forced to get it fixed back in DC. UBREAKIFIX told me it would cost $299.99, ouch! They told me that with S3 the glass is bonded to the lcd and that both have to be replaced no matter what. They also said they couldn't do it for any cheaper or theyd be losing money (im sure because of the crazy high rent at this awesome location). I had no choice so I agreed. It took a week to get the part. I came in and they told me 45 mins so I waited... for two hours.
When they finally came out with the phone they told me bad news... the lcd screen from Samsung was defective and everything had a pink hue! They also put on the glass shoddily and it was sitting slightly over the front button making it almost inoperable. Yikes. They reordered the part and told me it would be about two days and that theyd call me.
Four days later with no call, I called them. They claimed they got the part in but couldn't find my number (odd because when I came back in it was written clearly on the work order). So I went in and alas they HADNT got the part in. It was out for delivery on a delivery truck! So I left the phone and came back three hours later, frustrated and fearing the worst.
The story does have a good ending. They had repaired it successfully when I came back in and this time the glass was properly aligned. Everything is back to normal and im happy. They were good guys and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping.
The long story short: use them, but if your phone is anything more complicated than an Apple product it may not be as simple as a day of fix, so just be prepared. I'd use them again if I...
Read moreI recently visited UBreak iFix Phone and Computer Repair at 3510 Connecticut Avenue NW to get my PlayStation 5 fixed. I have the Asurion Home Plus plan, and the HDMI port on my PS5 had malfunctioned, and it also needed a thorough cleaning. I went there on a Monday, and I was immediately impressed by the customer service.
The staff member who assisted me was incredibly professional, friendly, and efficient. She explained the entire repair process clearly and kept me informed throughout. It took a full week to get my PlayStation 5 back, but it was well worth the wait. The console is now working better than ever. It's running faster, doesn't overheat, and can handle hours of gameplay without shutting off. Most importantly, the HDMI port is functioning perfectly, allowing me to fully enjoy my games.
During my visit, I noticed how clean and well-organized the store was. The staff seemed knowledgeable and eager to help, creating a welcoming environment. They had a variety of services listed, and it was reassuring to see how many different types of repairs they handle. It's clear that UBreak iFix takes pride in their work and customer satisfaction.
Given the excellent service, I'm planning to take my MacBook Pro to them next for a cleaning and tune-up. I've had some issues with it running slowly, and based on my experience with my PS5, I have no doubt they'll do a fantastic job. It's great to have a reliable place to take my electronics for repairs.
Overall, my experience at UBreak iFix was outstanding. The combination of excellent customer service, professional repairs, and a friendly atmosphere made it a positive experience. I'm very happy with the service and highly recommend UBreak iFix for any electronic repairs. If you have a device that needs fixing, this is the...
Read moreI hope for everyone else's sake that my experience was due to the fact that I had a less common phone (One Plus One).
Came to the store with a cracked unresponsive touch screen with a replacement screen I ordered from eBay. That saved me about $100 dollars in repair costs(or $25 because the screen cost $75). They said it would be ready by the end of the day. It wasn't. No sweat because I was enjoying using my replacement flip phone. Anyway, when I finally get a call from uBreakiFix they tell me that the new screen I ordered and brought to them was "defective". I ok'd them to charge me the $100 extra dollars to get their replacement screen. I thought at least I'd be able to send the defective screen back and get a refund from the eBay seller but when I got the call to pick up the fixed phone there was no defective screen with my phone. The cashier told me to call back when the person who repaired the phone would be able to locate it. When I called they let me know they "broke" my "defective" screen in the process of fixing my phone. Welp, no eBay refund for me.
UPDATE: A month later my screen starts to register finger presses without being touched. Thank you, uBreakiFix.. Got $100 extra dollars out of me, another screen, and never really fixed my phone if it's broken again. I don't recommend anyone going here based on...
