White Pass Country Historical Museum — Attraction in Washington

Lovely little museum that catalogues a lot of the history around White Pass, as well as many remnants of the old elementary school that the museum is housed in.

The caretakers were all very friendly and shared some stories as I perused the various rooms.

I can see myself making another visit next time I find myself in Packwood, as the atmosphere/history of the building and collection deserve more attention.

Nice museum in a quaint old school house. The folks that run it are very nice and are eager to answer any questions and share their knowledge of the history of Packwood. We visited the museum when it was raining at our campsite, they kept us busy until the weather got better :-) $2 admittance fee was good. I had a guided tour of the museum. Larry my guide had lots of great stories about the local area. The museum consist of 5 rooms in the old school building devoted to various areas of interest. The museum has a vast collection on display. The staff of volunteers here are wonderful. I did find the amount of items on display a bit overwhelming however.
