Food ordered: Taco Salad Bowl ( small portion, so-so taste) Nachos with Chorizo (taste was just ok) Margarita 20oz (but as one can see in the photos attached, is not even 12oz size and has too much ice. They also used an unknown tequila in it instead of the Hornitos written on their Menu (Hubby asked the bartender what Tequila was used since we can taste the watered down difference). Menu is greasy and looked & felt unclean and not wiped between customers. There’s an extra $2.02 charge for using a credit card that wasn’t disclosed. Service: Crappy. Nobody asked us how was the food and when we questioned the server about the size of the 20oz Maragarita, we didn’t get a proper explanation about the disproportionate size. Not disclosing about the cheaper Tequila mixed in the Margarita and the extra Credit Card use fee is not forthcoming. Atmosphere: door from the outside is fully open, we don’t know why. Place doesn’t feel clean especially with the greasy Menu

One of the few restaurants in the Packwood area that we tried during our visit to Mt Rainier. The place is quite spacious and food was good. It doesn't knock your socks off but it's comforting after a day of hiking. The mango margarita was humongous (and delicious, though low on alcohol) and so was the chicken tortilla soup my husband ordered. Definitely had leftovers. My bean tacos were the perfect portion size for my dinner and so was my daughter's chicken tacos from the kids meal. She wants to mention that their kids activity card was the best one she's seen with a hidden pictures activity. I agree - it kept me and her occupied while my husband caught up on a game on the TV. We even took the activity home to finish later. Just one thought-- since the restrooms are on their way into the restaurant and were visible from our table, it would be nice to keep the doors closed.

If you have two hours to waste, this is the place to go. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing experience I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant, and I say that as a true lover of Mexican cuisine. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. The wait to be seated was long, and the wait to be served was even longer. By the time our food finally arrived, we had spent more time waiting than enjoying our meal. The service was severely lacking—no one refilled our water or checked in to see if everything was okay. As for the food, it was a complete letdown. The dishes were bland, lacked any real flavor, and to make matters worse, some items were burned and completely inedible. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I went to Nacho’s Mexican Restaurant in Packwood a few days or so ago. I knew that I wanted to write a review but I wanted to make sure I articulated correctly my experience.

Let’s start with the good:

Upon walking in the hostess was very professional and friendly. We received amazing service from her and her recommendation of the chicken mole was spot on! She was super helpful and receives 5 stars from me! It is great to see such hard working teenagers, especially nowadays.

The food was out to our table in a good amount of time and was absolutely delicious! It is the best Mexican food in that area by far and I cannot say enough good things about the food or hostess! Whoever is cooking at this restaurant really put their all into these dishes and it is refreshing to see that they care about the food they make.

Now the bad:

The food was so good but the experience was tainted by a few workers. Some guy working in the back who had his hat on backwards and long hair wrapped up in a ponytail was seen throwing back shots multiple times which was very unprofessional and frankly disgusting to see in an establishment that serves food to their customers. The workers should not be drinking on the clock as it creates unsafe and an unhealthy work environment. That issue was sad and disappointing. What added to that lack of professionalism was his vulgar language and body language around and towards the female staff that appeared to be underage while he appeared to be well into his late 40s to 50s. That IS PEDOPHILIC and is very concerning! The cops need to start an INVESTIGATION as this is not something to look away from or take lightly! Families daughters are in jeopardy here and it seems that they are too scared to come forward about this individual. The other issue was the lady there named Amy If I remember right, who persistently and redundantly gossiped and talked negatively about other staff members in front of the customers which is highly unprofessional!!! She also threw back the shots just like the other guy had.

This restaurant has huge potential to be all around 5 stars. They are lacking in professional employees who take pride in their work as it appears they only have a handful that do AND it appears that those who do are the younger ones working there that are the role models for their elders working there! Kudos to those young ladies for their work ethic and ability to do their best when it comes to making sure customers are taken care of! kudos to the chef for taking pride in their work!

It is disappointing and foul to see some of the unprofessionalism that is going on in that place. Yes, the food is amazing but is it worth it with the type of environment you are getting into? Is it worth it to watch the female staff get belittled and Harassed by some of their own fellow employees who are much much older than them?

The younger ladies there, from what I witnessed, are great and doing the best they can but with the lack of proper guidance and good examples from SOME of their elder coworkers it will be difficult for them to navigate what SHOULD or SHOULDN’T be when a select few of those coworkers around them appear to be unprofessional and uncaring when it comes to how they...

Nachos Mexican Restaurant offers a promising start with their salsa and chips, creating an initial impression of authenticity. However, my dining experience took a downturn when I ordered an enchilada filled with beef. I found the choice of ground beef for an enchilada to be unusual and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The texture and flavor of the filling left much to be desired, and it's not a dish I would order again, nor would I recommend you ordering either.

On a more positive note, the Chille Rellano at Nachos Mexican Restaurant is an excellent choice. The dish showcases a flavorful pepper filled with a delicious stuffing, providing a satisfying combination of tastes and textures. The tamales also deserve a mention, as they were decent and had a pleasing taste, and used traditional shredded beef as expected.

Regrettably, the sopitos were a major letdown. The masa boat lacked the desired crunchiness, leaving it disappointingly soggy. This lack of texture and overall poor execution would deter me from ordering sopitos here in the future.

While Nachos Mexican Restaurant had some hits and misses in their menu offerings, it's clear that the inconsistency in quality detracted from the overall dining experience. With improvements in their enchilada filling and sopitos preparation, this restaurant has the potential to truly excel in delivering authentic Mexican cuisine.

The service was mixed as well, while I appreciate swarm service, my primary wait staff personnel brought us the wrong drink, assured us "beef" meant shredded, as mentioned above it was not, had to be reminded about our sopito and had to ask to have my water refilled, my only drink...

I don’t understand how this place has as many stars as it does. Maybe because they give big portions of otherwise very mediocre bland food? Don’t bother with this place.

We ordered items based on what others enjoyed in their reviews: chicken fajitas and the borrego (lamb shanks). Unfortunately the chicken had little flavor and what flavor it did have was flat and boring, the guacamole and salsa were bland, the fried beans were starchy and tasteless, the lamb was oily and actually flavorless aside from the taste of lamb meat. It is hard to imagine how such tasty ingredients could go so wrong and to such waste.

It did not help that upon entering the restaurant, no one acknowledged or approached us to offer a menu, and we stood awkwardly for 15-20 minutes at the front, waiting to place our order, as a server at the front took other orders over the phone and other servers took customers behind us in line to tables to dine in. The menu we eventually retrieved ourselves was greasy and sticky. We ended up ordering online and waited outside for longer than the estimated wait time. After reentering to check on our order and pay, we spent another 10 minutes waiting by the cashier again. When I asked for a receipt with the price breakdown, the server gave me an attitude. They very clearly do not care about their customers and run their business like a shipwreck.

We will never return and don’t recommend that you ever...
