Hornbill Asian Market LLC — Attraction in Waterloo

I’m originally from Minneapolis and there are Asian/African supermarkets everywhere so it has been difficult for me to move to Lansing Iowa for work and not be able to cook my authentic food. I thought I would have to do a 6 hour round trip back to Minnesota to be able to buy supplies but I am SO happy that I found this place. I had to drive one hour and 45 mins one way (3.5 hours round trip) but so much better than 3 hours. I almost cried when I saw the store lol. It’s a little expensive than Minnesota but I assume that due to supply and demand but I was still happy to pay it...

This grocery store is very clean and doesn't stink. The guys who worked here are very friendly and they remember their customers. I would recommend anyone to try out their products and they are fairly competitive with other grocery stores. You can also asked them to bring something from your ethnic market... My only suggestion for the store owner is to bring more fresh produce and maybe put a sale on the produce that dont sale within the week. I am almost certain people will buy the produce fresh because they know the you can always find fresh at...

We are so lucky to have this market in our neighborhood. I look forward to going to Hornbill because I am warmly greeted when I come in. There is plenty of room and selection for what you may be looking for. Lots of delicious food and ingredients. Very affordable produce and they accept EBT so this is even better because they are feeding our community. Go check it out and browse. Everything is organized well but be prepared for every thing to not be priced. That would usually give me anxiety but it's never over priced or what I didn't...
