Broken Record — Restaurant in Waterloo

I like myself a bar that caters to no group in particular. A bar that doesn’t just focus on tv sports or sparkle pants pickup truck music. A place that ya never know what might happen when someone comes through the door. The BR does a pretty good job of being a bar. The place is pretty clean. The bartenders are aware of what their there for and are friendly. Their customer base on point for the Loo. Some rougher around the edges than others. Everybody has a story and all of them sprinkled with a little ‘sad’ but told with a grin or slight smile. The BR’s location along the active block of 4th St downtown gives you glimpse into the lives of folks that mainstreamers don’t even know are around. This place earned my 5 stars the moment I walked in the door.

Margo saw us looking for a seat. She was quick to point to two open seats and cleared the space for us during her busy hour on a Saturday night.

Not only did she walk up to introduce herself, she also asked questions to get to know us. She then introduced us to these cute Mini Beer Shots!!!!
