I've been here before and had a blast with my son and his little cousins so I thought maybe I should do my sons birthday party here.
I booked a room for my sons birthday on a Saturday evening (worst time to book parties are weekends during evening times due to the amount of people that go there). On the reservation info, it says that we will have a good host and that we can come 15 min early to set up. 2 free pizzas come with the platinum package but I planned for 40 people in attendance so I bought 4 extra pizzas at 20 dollars each (yikes)
I got there 10 minutes early and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our host to come get us. Then the host finally showed up and it was some young kid and right away I already had my doubts on the host being a "great and experienced host" like they said they would be on urban air party page. The party was set for 2 hours long, play 1 hour then eat and celebrate then play again til finish. So right away 5 to 10 minutes was already wasted due to our host.
They had the room set up and wristbands set on the table, not sure how many was on there but i booked the party for 40 people total so the final bill is roughly a grand. The host didnt check in anybody, i pretty much did all of that myself. The trash wasnt emptied out so I requested it to be emptied.
As time went by more people was coming in and I had to request more wristbands and the host brought more wristbands in. What im getting at is the final price didnt change because i had more people than I put down so they werent keeping track of how many people were coming. I couldve had 100 people come in and they wouldnt even know.
Overall the host was almost non existent, only came around when I radioed over to them.
As for the play experience, we did have the platinum package so unlimited go karts right? Wrong. The guys running the go karts took so long just for one race. Ive been here before and they were never this slow to start the races. Whenever a race was coming to an end, they took their sweet time getting people in and out. It was about a 5-10 minute wait for the next race to start, with all the karts loaded with drivers. They took so long I literally went on 1 go kart race thru out the whole time there. I didnt even get to ride until the 2 hour time limit was up and then they were also sweating me about making payment. Like dude i waited all fkn day to ride ur go kart, about to pay a grand for this weak af party and they sweating me about payment? So the wife got my wallet and paid for it while i was still sitting in the go kart waiting for the next race.
Dont book a party here on weekends, nights in particular but if u are going in a small group, then this would be worth it. I had a pretty miserable time as the "host" there but i think everyone else had fun. Never again booking a...
Read moreFirst, the concessions staff might have been the absolute rudest & most incompetent person I’ve ever encountered. I was in line behind the person ordering, who finished & left, & the staff person’s friend wanders up, right next to me, & starts ordering. The staff person completely ignores the fact that I’m there & leisurely gets his friend whatever he wants. I just wait, giving the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he didn’t see who was there first or something. But then, his first friend finishes, & I’m about to order when a SECOND friend comes up & does the same thing! Well, now I’ve got two more people behind me, so we are ALL being skipped, & so I politely say excuse me, but I was in line before her (indicating the FIRST friend), & the staff person just stares at me silently. Says nothing. Knowing that either way I’m not getting what I want from this situation, I just shake my head & let him finish with friend #2. I’m FINALLY able to order, as he’s apparently run out of friends, & I ask for some fries. He says the kitchen is closed. It was 50 minutes before the place closed…and, funny, the kitchen wasn’t closed for his friends’ orders. I just laughed and walked away, because if you are THAT bad at your job and THAT unhappy with your daily life that you have to act like THAT much of a fool, then I honestly don’t want you anywhere near a stovetop and/or an open flame. Sigh. Then, this last (and believe me FINAL) time I was there, their staff decided they just couldn’t handle doing their jobs for their entire scheduled shift and just decided to close over an hour and a half early, completely ignoring the fact that they had customers who had paid a LOT of money to be there and enjoy the place for a specific block of time. I even confirmed the time they were closing when we arrived because I’d been burned before, not that it helped. They first announced they were closing in 30 minutes, and two attractions were closing then…which was over an HOUR before they were supposed to be closing. But then, less than two minutes later, they announce that, scratch that, EVERYTHING is now shutting down and they’re closing now. No explanation given, no apologies, just a staff person who couldn’t have possible cared less, working with a team who obviously all felt the same, wanting to go home. Again….it’s super sad when incompetent staff ruins what could be...
