@Doug Menson
Hi Doug,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your interest in who owns our restaurant. You are correct that Mohammad Khurram is the franchise owner, and we also have a group of investors who support the business.
That said, we find it quite ironic that ownership and ethnic background would be a deciding factor in someone’s dining experience, especially enough to warrant a public review. We operate with a diverse and hardworking team, and that’s something we’re proud of and will always stand by.
You specifically asked if the owners were Greek, and to be honest, we hear that question far too often. After getting asked repeatedly, we’ve come to find it not only disturbing but also racially charged. Our staff shouldn’t have to justify their background to serve great food and hospitality.
As the manager, I treat this restaurant as if it were my own, and I’m grateful that our investors have entrusted me with this responsibility. We hope that moving forward, guests will focus more on the quality of the food and experience rather than the ethnicity of the owners.
Best regards, Ayan, owner/manager/grateful for this restaurant/ grateful to the investors/ and non-Greek. But just a human...
Read moreI’m such a picky eater and I was scared to come here with my husband because I thought I wouldn’t like anything. First off, I was able to get the chicken skewer meal with my side of rice pilaf. AMAZING! The tzatziki sauce, never had, and I basically used every bit of it! Secondly, my husband got the gyro plate and he said it’s the best he’s ever had. Lemon potatoes were simply and delicious. Ordering was easy and order taker was helpful in removing ingredients we didn’t like. We asked for no feta and tomatoes on the main dishes and they made sure to come back and ask if we also wanted them removed from the side salad. Tried baklava as an ending for the first time and I thought it was great! Atmosphere is simple and clean. No suggestion for improvement and no complaints. Highly recommend. We will be back and I will suggest this...
Read moreWhile waiting 15 min for take out order, I observed the person taking orders at the counter. I saw her scraping dirty dishes and food into the garbage. She did not wash her hands before returning to the counter to take orders. I then watched her put her finger in her mouth multiple times while taping the computer screen, and then she delivered plates of food to customers dining in. SHE NEVER WASHED HER HANDS! I told the owner before I left, and his reply was that she is a high school student who needs more training. I say, All staff should be fully trained in areas of food safety and hygiene BEFORE they handle food, not after. Also, the small bucket of soapy water used to wipe down the tables is sitting on the FLOOR behind the counter. IT SHOULD BE ON A CART, not on the floor. I won't...
