Taco Bell — Restaurant in Town of Brookfield

My husband and I have been frequenting this location for over a year now, and here's our review:

1. Staff is TOP notch. Even when they're flooded with orders, they are kind and considerate. Last night (1/20), the drive thru was crazy backed up due to the cold snap, but they kept it moving. They're usually running with a small crew, but they do everything they can to keep up
2. Food - some people want to judge Taco Bell against other Mexican restaurants, and that's not really fair to do. T-Bell does fast and casual, and they do it well. We've been plagued over the years with incorrect orders, etc. but NOT at this location. They have done a consistently great job, esp. in comparison to the other locations we used to visit (West Allis, New Berlin, etc.). We really appreciate the attention to detail and are always happy with what we get
3. Drive Thru - Yes, it's true, once you're in, you're locked in (no exit lane), but I've never had a problem. Just be prepared to chill in your car for a bit and anytime you can, order ahead on the app to make everyone's life easier (esp. if you're like me and order changes)

Every time I come to this location the staff is slower than molasses. I am spending up to over 20 minutes in the drive-through line. Tonight, I was in the drive-thru with one car ahead of me waiting to have their order taken. After waiting seven minutes for that car‘s order to be taken, I finally gave up and left. I can understand having a slow night once in a while but this is the fourth time in a row I have gone there and either had to leave without having my order taken, or I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes. That is ridiculous

Since this is the closest Taco Bell to me I did go back for another visit. And the same thing happened. Took forever to get my food and this time all the lights were off in the drive-through including the lights in the menu board. . It looked like they were closed even though they were open. It’s quite dangerous having no lights on in the parking lot and deceiving to people thinking that...

I'm not sure who these people are raving about the service here, but every time I've gone it's been slow going in the drive-thru, so we decided to go inside the last visit we had. No one even acknowledged our presence at the counter, with 6 employees working in the back. I should say 4 employees were actually working, one was clearly too confused (maybe new) to function properly, and one was spacing out in near the drink fountain in the drive thru while the other person did both her and their own positions. We were in there 15th minutes without so much as a greeting. I've had orders with mistakes made, and I've met some rude people behind the counter in my time, but I've never not been served before.
