I have been to this and other Casa Tequila's (Pewaukee and Hartford) and enjoyed it. In fact the Waukesha one was great last time I came a few months ago. This time however was pure disappointment. 3x I asked for a classic margarita on the rocks no salt and it came with no ice. This was straight up I inattentiveness. Perhaps new, the server had no shorthand and took forever to write our order. When the food came presentation was lacking. Maybe our fault for expecting decent food at 9pm but they are open til 11 so we thought we were safe. I'd say my carne asada was like shoe leather but I dont mean to be rude to cobblers everywhere. My serated knife could barely make it through whatever this was they were passing off as meat. The side of guacamole had no flavor at all beyond avocado making me wonder if the red chunks were in fact onions or not; but certainly reminiscent of the garlic shortage of 2008 ( which never happened, I'm being facetious). My friends surf and turf enchiladas mole sauce was equally disparaging to the pallet. If mole means cafeteria gravy, then spot on. We both left feeling nauseated. Now we both understand that was NOT food borne bacterial strife as that takes hours to fester. It was more the pure swill of quality that we experienced, just did not sit well at all. It is unfortunate to have such an awful experience at what we thought was an otherwise good restaurant on...
Read moreOur family visited this restaurant on a Friday night and we only waited a few moments to be seated. A few moments after being seated, a young man came to deliver chips and salsa. He did so by tossing both chips baskets onto the table and all 4 of the salsa bowls without speaking and just walked off. We were completely shocked and as we discussed what just transpired amongst ourselves, the waiter came for our drink order. He was polite and prompt with all his service this evening, and brought our drinks and we ordered food right away. Once we got our food, we were hungry and ready to eat so we didn't notice right away that it came out very fast. What we did notice tho, was the odd color of the refried beans. They were bright brownish orange color were seemed off so we avoided those. As we all started eating, we all 4 noticed that there was no flavor at all in the food. I don't mean it was bland, I mean like it had no taste to iit at all. We shared our food with each other to make sure it wasn't like, ya know, just us trippin. No, it was not. We left our plates alone and the guys finished their drinks we paid and we left. And we will never never go back...
Read moreSo honesty here! We are new to this area but I find that the Mexican food is not Mexican food I'm not sure if it's because of the culture here but I am not used to it! I ordered carne asada plate my husband ordered a burrito asada so the beans taste like they got a can of rosarita and doctored it up the rice has too much cumin for my liking but still had good flavor and it wasn't crunchy it was perfect the asada was not asada it was more like cuts of steak but the meat did have good flavor it was a little dry tho. My husband said that he doesn't like lettuce in his burrito he found that to be weird but he said it was really good to him he enjoyed his burrito. I as most of you know that read my reviews know that.... okay I'm a cynic! I was impressed by their guacamole they used real avocados the downfall to this time was that I found pieces of the outside of the avocado but I called them and I told them and he gave me a credit for my meal which was amazing and appreciated because I was pretty sad about that. So upside real avocado, grilled onions! Found it odd that they cut up my...
