We love that it is so close and "vintage". It reminds us of our childhood grocery stores. Everyone is really nice as well. The prices are pretty high though which is unfortunate. But...our biggest complaint (as well as the complaint of others as heard while in line to check out MULTIPLE times) is how weird it is that you must drop your groceries off in a line on the checker's side and then leave them and walk around the candy and drink refrigerator to get in the "people" side of the check-out. You must also cross your fingers that no one accidentally (or purposely) gets into the "people line" without first dropping their groceries off bc the checker will begin to scan your groceries for them bc now everything/everyone is out of order. I can't tell you how many times someone has gotten in the "people line" without first making the trek AROUND the refrigerator to drop of their groceries on the checker's side (also, lets hope you only have a few items so they will fit on the checker's tiny ledge or you actually grabbed a cart) I don't know why they did it that way nor why they keep it that way. Read moreApparently they had freezer issues at some point. Not only did they not pull the uce cream out once fixed, but also didnt put a sign up saying not to buy. I purchased 4 pints of ice cream, and didnt realize till i made it home that there were issues. Called, sylvia seemed skeptical saying i buy ice cream here all the time and dont have any issues took 3 back for a refund shortly later. When i get there, the other ice cream was still there and remained unchecked. I checked the other nyself and all had issues. Karen gave me a redund for 3 i brought up to the store, and said she didnt have time to go over there. And stated the freezer had gone out and was just fixed this morning. She said even tho my husband had already eaten most of the 4th i could bring it back for a refund. I did just that. My concern is the lack of care from store employees at the fact they willingly and knowi y sold spoiled ice cream. Wanted to play the blame game instead. Horrible bacteria to grow and cause...
