Preakness Shopping Center — Attraction in Wayne

I've heard this place used to be a hot spot...like THE spot. It's essentially a ghost town now.

I wish a cool, hip, brew and view would go into the old movie theater and a couple international restaurants would go into the empty store fronts. I'd love to see a good (non-italian...there's plenty of good ones every twenty feet in this town) bakery or doughnut shop. Basically I want it to become a little Brooklyn I guess.

As it stands though, maybe they should tesr it down and build...

This mall which had been in Wayne for a long time, is going through a transition. It has lost some tenants over the last several years. Macy's closed this location, and several other retailers such as Dress Barn filed for bankruptcy, the card store moved to another location. There is a large Stop & Shop, a Bath and Body Works, a great deli, a movie theater, a diner, a bank, a nail salon, an organic cleaners...
