Just know the office never answers their phone. Also never offered a tour before moving in. They do not explain anything to you, it’s like they expect you to know everything, never explained what the keys were for, so I had to figure that out on my own. Didn’t tell me where things are, like where the mail boxes were until left. Before I even moved in, my apartment was not mine in ready, the water heater was still in the apartment and I could tell it was there for a minute. It had rusted on the floor and the maintenance guy cleaned it up. There was pieces missing for the stove. There was also a fence left on the hedge, the vents are NOT clean, I opened one vent in the bathroom and a bunch of black stuff had fallen onto my face, and it took me FOREVER to find out where a smell was coming from, and it turns out, it was something in the vents, it hit me when I turned my AC on. It smelled like something died in there. You would think paying nearly a grand to would get something half way decent. I complained about a smell and didn’t get a response til a week later that they’ll “walk around” my apartment. I also signed a 6 month contract, I had to move out by the end of February because I got hit with some news. I told the office that I need to be out by the end of February in January, didn’t tell me how to put in a notice til mid-end of February. First phone call they said I had to find someone to sublease my apartment, few weeks go by, I call a good amount of times again, FINALLY got a answer and told them I can’t find anyone and they told me they will help me out, and find someone, I moved out completely February 28th, and the office said they had found someone to take my place the 15th, VERY last minute. I asked what I would have to owe, and told me half of the rent and after they took out my deposit, I asked so around “150-200?” And the manager I’m guessing said “somewhere around there” NOT letting me know that I had to pay a $765 for a reletting fee, like it is insane! Yes it says it on the lease, but still, a better heads up and a better understanding would of been nice but no, communication is AWFUL here. I will never tell anyone to move here because it is a very cheaply made place and everything falls apart so easily. Worst first apartment experience ever. I could go on and on about this place, but I’ve said enough.

It was hard to get myself to even give this place one star. There was a lot that went wrong this year- the attached pictures show many (not all) of the damages that were present before I even moved in. One of which was a leak on the ceiling of the shower. The entire ceiling was sagging and the water leaked into the shower. It took about three work order requests (a week or so) for them to come and fix this problem which was a health hazard. Not long after moving in, I also noticed a frequency of mattresses that other residents had put in the dumpster, it was almost a weekly thing. My neighbor informed me this was due to bedbugs - which she had also had because of the apartments. Despite my best efforts, the bedbugs made their way into my room in early spring. I had brought in all new furniture, yet the apartment management claimed that I did not have enough evidence to prove the bedbugs came from their complex. After my wife and I had disassembled the bed frame and moved the mattress and box spring (both of which had protective coverings around them- which we had to replace with new ones costing us $115) slept in the living room for about a month. We had to wash all of our clothes twice to ensure the bedbugs had not gotten into the clothes (costing us a total of about $150). We ended up throwing out our brand new bed frame since it had gotten so infested. For treatment options, the complex could bring an exterminator in to spray the room- an option that they would not guarantee to work. They conveniently did not communicate that this would cost us $300 until they already started treatments. On top of all of this, the exterminator could not even get into our room because the apartment office had lost their key, asking if I had changed the lock- which I hadn't. I had to give them my key so they could do the treatments on the bedbugs that they were responsible for. Living here was such a nightmare, I do not recommend this place.

When I signed my lease I was handed a map with an apartment number and told to do a "self guided tour." The apartment they had me look at ended up being a completely different layout than what they put me in. I had to pay a $400 deposit plus an additional $1000 "security deposit" due to my lack of rental history. My first lease renewal went up $100 and my second year it went up an additional $150. On top of that, as they see fit, they add new fees for everyone to pay. The latest is the "apartment maintenance fee" which is just considered rent in most places. The pool was is rarely open, and the Amazon Hub fee doesn't mean your packages still won't be left out in the open. The parking lot and spaces have huge potholes, and they closed the laundry room for an entire month in order to "remodel" which meant paint a wall and raise all the prices on the machines. Really, the one good thing I can say is that our maintenance man is very kind, courteous, and helpful. Unfortunately, dealing with the office staff, you get a feeling that you're more of an annoyance to them than someone who's paying them your money. They very rarely respond to your inquiries online or your voicemails, and you have to go into the office for them to still not fix issues. We've never had a lease violation or been late on the rent. I'm very disappointed in the way we've been treated.

If you plan on living here expect to pay $1,000+ on move out because tenants are expected to pay for these units as if they own them, and get everything in writing because they will go back on their word.

I thought we had a good relationship with management...I was wrong. Lesson learned. We lived in this apartment complex for a total of 5 years. Our first apartment was no problem. We moved from an upstairs unit to a downstairs. We were told the deposit would be moved as well. Fast forward 4 years. We had asked multiple times to have help cleaning the carpets as we had lived there for 4 years with pets and the carpet had not been replaced when we moved in. I told her we didn't mind going halves or taking off of rent to deep clean the apartment, but I do not feel like tenants should pay 100% for this on a unit that is rented. We were told the matter would be looked into, but we never heard back about anything. The tub was always backing up and maintenance was asked repeatedly to come clean it up but we never saw them. A few weeks after move out we were slapped with a $1200 dollar bill for "cleaning expenses". When I tried to get with April about this they could not find record of our first deposit and since she had nothing in writing about maintenance requests we were responsible for these charges. I reminded her we had tried to get help cleaning the carpets and as we had pets the carpets were going to be replaced anyway, but she "did not remember having a conversation with us about that". I have always had pets and took care they didn't mess up the carpet to much and have never had to pay to replace the carpet. I explained to her that the tub was always backing up and it didn't need to be resurfaced because I personally had to clean that myself while living there and was able to clean it up with a little bit of elbow grease. Tenants are expected to pay for 100% of the deep cleaning of a unit they do not own and then pay for replacing of the carpet and the resurfacing of the tub at move out. There is 0 communication, maintenance and management take forever to get anything done if they get it done at all, and they have horrible attitudes and customer service.

We were good tenants that took care of our apartment, cleaned up after our animals, and always paid rent on time. I cleaned up that apartment at move out like I have many times before. I do not take kindly to being charged like we are filthy people who left that apartment with $1200 dollars worth of cleaning expenses.

Edit: We still have not been contacted after the generic review response from College Park. Just another example of lack of customer service and...

My husband and I moved in June/July 2018 and moved out February 2020. We never had a great experience with the office staff, there was one woman who was a quite rude any time I went in or she saw me outside. We lived in an efficiency which we wanted to see before we moved in but they only showed us after we had signed the lease. When the moving in day came around I was told I could move in as soon as the office opened at 9 am. This was our first time living together so I was super excited and got there right at 9 am, but the office didn’t open until 10:30. I called the off location office and they didn’t know why the office was not open on time and tried calling themselves but obviously nobody answered as they were not there. Even when they opened I was told we wouldn’t be able to move in until they were done painting (which we were told previously the painting would be done two days prior). After waiting for what seemed like all day, wasting not only my time but my friends and family who were helping me move, we finally got the keys around 4:30 pm.

When we moved in our laundry door was outside and never put into place despite myself putting in a maintenance request. Our air conditioning went out in 2019 and was out for nearly two months before they fixed it. I had told the woman in the office about it when I was down there for something else and she said she would let the maintenance team know about it. A month went by and nothing was ever done about it so I went back down there and spoke with the maintenance team directly to which they came out either the same or next day (I can’t remember).

If you want an apartment where they rarely check in on you and leave you alone, this is a great place. But just be aware if you have medium to large sized dogs or children and live in an upstairs unit you may receive noise complaints due to you simply walking around. We didn’t have any issues with the first person that lived below us but when they moved out, we were constantly receiving complaints when we hadn’t done anything besides walk. The office staff said this was common for people with children, but it was just us and our medium sized dog.

Anytime we went to the pool, everybody looked at us oddly and it felt as though we were being judged. We tried to go to the pool three times (once for a summer party) before we stopped going because we didn’t feel welcome despite trying to be friendly and smile.

Admittedly, our dog did chew up the carpet and ruin parts of the apartment. So perhaps whoever moves in after us will enjoy their newly renovated apartment. It was simply not a great...

College Park was the worst living experience of my life. It was hell from the start. We regrettably were unable to tour the property ahead of time because it was a long distance move. When we first saw the unit in person it was nothing like the photos. Countertops were scuffed, cabinets were falling apart and crooked, the paint was chipped and peeling and the doors to the balcony were half broken. The closet shelves were soaked in dog piss and rotting. I wish I could say that was the worse of it. The night we moved in, the ceiling in the bathroom collapsed from the AC being installed improperly leaving a pile of moldy debris on the floor. It took them nearly a month to repair it. Within a week of moving in we started getting roaches. We are very neat people and have never had this problem before. They'd crawl through the drains and from cracks in the wall. No matter what we did the bugs infested our home. During the summer, we noticed the AC continuously struggled to keep up. When it was over 90 degrees outside the inside of the apartment would get to over 85. I would be wearing nothing but a tank top and my underwear to keep cool and still sweating with the blinds closed and the AC running full blast. At times it would be close to 90 degrees inside with the ac running. Our AC bill was consistently nearly 300 dollars for a 2 bedroom whereas at our old apartment it was never over 150. That brings me to the water bill. When I moved in they told me the average bill was 60-80 dollars at most. At our old place once again it was only ever 40 max. When we got the first bill I almost fainted. It was 120$ and stayed that way the entire time we lived there. They'd run a hose into the pool to keep it filled up and charge people for the water they waste. The property is covered in trash, the buildings are falling apart and you'll feel embarrassed to live here. The siding of the buildings falls off and they don't care. Shingles fall off the roof and they don't care. The maintenance guys are incompetent and once left my dishwasher drain loose causing a huge leak. They're idiots. Your packages will be stolen and the front office doesn't care. Before you think I'm just snooty and it's not that bad, I grew up poor in a house where we barely made ends meet and I shared a room with 3 others. I'd rather go back to that then ever step foot in college park ever again. These are the WORST apartments in Weatherford. There are better safer options for the same price. Unless you like bugs, falling apart buildings, outrageous utilities and being uncomfortable in your own home DO...
