Hadn't planned to spend the night in Weatherford, TX but had a last-minute change in plans. I called the reservation line directly and they said they had a room; the price would be about $110. I said on the web the price was about $70. So, I went to TripAdvisor, when selecting the room which turned out to be about $80 with tax I was kicked to Expedia, and I attempted to make the room reservation. I didn't get a confirmation so thought I'd goofed up, so did it again and got a confirmation. When I got to the hotel Yolanda at reception told me there were 2 reservations for me! She helped me work with Expedia to get that cleared up which took about 30 minutes, and she was very patient and helpful during that process. So, a shout out to YOLANDA! As for the room, it was a nice clean typical hotel room. NO bugs - I run from bugs cuz I don't want to bring them to my home. The location felt safe when I walked outside. And the location is very convenient to shopping and a large selection of restaurants. Easy access to the highway, but without highway noise. Breakfast is included - but don't get too excited. There were waffles, 2 choices of dry cereal, 2 choices of juice, coffee, and there were slices of bread - no selection of bread products. No fruit, no yogurt, no instant oatmeal. But my husband loves waffles - so worked for us - and at this price you can't expect a full breakfast anyway. OH, there is a small pool, looked like it's only big enough for a few kids to...
Read moreI read several reviews about dirty rooms, but room 116 was very clean! And looked nice & modern. I love that there wasn't carpet in the room. A lot of times hotel carpet can be stained and sticky feeling, these were beautiful laminate flooring. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the housekeeper I ran into was also nice and friendly. The property seemed safe with numerous cameras throughout the building and facing the parking areas. Not the greatest breakfast options, but they did have a waffle maker where you can make your own. I would've had to make for myself & two elderly companions & for me it was easier to go to Cracker Barrel across the interstate. In addition to the waffles, there were a few cold cereal options & bread to toast in the toaster. There was no butter or jelly, so it would be dry toast. Maybe there were muffins earlier, but at 8am there were none. I do believe for the price you pay for a room, $85, the breakfast was fine. I would definitely recommend staying here, and if I'm in the area again I will be booking...
Read moreThis is not the first time we stayed at this hotel. We stayed here before because it’s dog friendly hotel. My dog is service dog and ESA is part of service dog. That is why it is part of fair housing act, and it is actually not fair to ask us to why we have service dog to avoid discrimination and this is exactly what happened. As soon as they found out it’s ESA, they wanted to charge $20/night extra. I wouldn’t bring our dog if he is not well trained and well mannered, as i said we stayed before and didn’t have any problem. We always leave the room clean, but because of this experience, i dont think ill be booking here again. Do your research about service dog/ESA or ask for deposit and if we leave the room dirty, keep the deposit. I always take photos and videos of the room after we checkout as my proof, because i am 100% sure we leave the room clean. We checked-in 1am, we are only here to sleep, we will check out at maybe 8-9am. They just lost another customer, too bad because we visit weatherford a lot now. Room is not even that clean, there are molds around the tub (see...
