The WORST customer experience EVER. Jim Welch, the manager at the English Gardens on Orchard Lake road, gets ZERO STARS for threatening to NOT give me my money back when I attempted to return a plant -- with my receipt -- after I refused to provide my personal information, including my full name and phone number. Funny. English Gardens' return policy states that you "must" provide your personal information, including your "full name and phone number", in order to return merchandise -- even IF you have a receipt. I know of no law that requires consumers to be held hostage by any retailer if we choose not to provide our personal information. A polite refusal on my part resulted in threats of not returning my money and a nasty attitude by Jim Welch. Horrible treatment and I'm surmising, illegal. I'll NEVER shop there again... and I reserve the right -- AS AN AMERICAN TAXPAYER TO WITHHOLD PERSONAL DATA TO RETURN ANY MERCHANDISE when I HAVE my receipt. Ridiculous and ludicrous, and my guess -- an illegal way to secure ALL of your information.    Read moreGood Morning, For the record, I consider English Garden to be a top-notch nursery. Nevertheless, it is my opinion that english gardens prices are much higher then other nursery's and stores in the West Bloomfield area. That is okay due to the quality, presentation and English Gardens return policy. However, I think with the high prices english garden should have knowledgeable employees working in their stores. On more than 10 occassions when I ask questions regarding flowers, plants etc the person had no knowledge of flowers or gardening. This morning i called and requested information regarding SunPatients, the person I talked to this morning at approx. 9:00 a.m. indicated that English Gardens does carry them. Then, when I called back to determine if English Gardens would be carrying regluar impatients this season, Scott had to refer to Jodi for answers. Unfortunately, Jodi said that they would not be carrying Sunpatients only New Guinea Impatients. Initially, Scott did not want to reveal Jodi's name when asked and when he finally did and I ask to speak to her, I was told she was in a meeting.    Read moreI had 80th birthday luncheon celebration on September 24, 2021 and had English Garden, West Bloomfield location to make 7 centerpieces for the tables and requested delivery at 11:00 am. The day of the event only 1 centerpiece was delivered on time. We immediately called the store and was told they had been busy and would make the other 6 centerpieces and deliver them by noon. When they arrived at 12:15pm the guests had already arrived. The flowers were wet and had falling out of the vases because the stems were cut too short. It was very noticeable that it was a rushed job. I was very disappointed in the quality and late delivery. They did not offer any compensation for their errors.
