Yesterday my grandmother took my 6 year old daughter to see a movie. The movies were not listed so my grandma and daughter walked around looking for the right theater. In that time my daughter dropped her sweatshirt and once they found their theater and their seats my daughter realized she didn’t have her sweatshirt anymore. They headed out and asked someone who worked there and the man said that he had just taken it to customer service and put it under the counter. They get to customer service and the sweatshirt just disappeared. The manager had 4 other employees looking all over for it but it was no where to be found. I called up there because this was my daughters favorite sweatshirt and I was hoping there were cameras and they could see if the person who took it was still there. The manager told me there are no cameras that cover that area because they don’t have money there. So no luck. Once their movie was over they checked back to see if it had been found but no luck and the manager tells my grandma that the male staff had just sat it on the counter and anyone could have grabbed it. That male staff had told my grandma that he put it behind and under the counter. The manager told my grandma that he didn’t. Lindsay was her name I believe and she told my grandma to call the next day and ask to talk to Dave. We called today and there was no answer so we called corporate and even corporate said it sounded like an employee took it but she said it could be up to 72 hrs before we heard anything. Not even an hour later Dave calls and says the sweatshirt has been found. I got there about 4:30pm to pick it up and asked to talk to a manager because I wanted to know how it was no where to be found the day before but now it magically appeared. The lady goes back to get the manager and she comes back and tells me that the manager that is there today wasn’t there yesterday so he didn’t know anything about it. So I asked for a manager and he didn’t come out and speak with me. The girl told me the sweatshirt probably was stuck in a seat. So I explained the story and she made another excuse saying it was probably in a bucket in the customer service area. Sounds like they have employees that are thief’s. Don’t accidentally drop anything because If it is name brand their staff will steal it. Still never found out where the sweatshirt...
Read moreTl;Dr- don't waste your time or money here especially on IMAX. Go to Regal. This theater was probably my top worst movie experiences in my life. Theater was gross, chairs dated and painful. Popcorn was pretty good, and Sinners is a great movie.
This is the second time I've been to this location. The first time was seeing Barbarian. The automated seats barely worked. Last night 04/27 we saw Sinners and this will be the last time I will go to this location and maybe even any AMC theater. My partner and I spent a lot of money to see Sinners in IMAX and we were deeply underwhelmed and disgusted by this theater. The IMAX theater was an awful example of a premium movie experience, as they are typically advertised. The seats are dated, they aren't the automated standard seating, and uncomfortable. We didn't know where our row or seats were there was barely any ground lighting to help with that which is surprising because again this is IMAX?! We found ourselves in the entirely incorrect row and seat until shortly into the movie. When we moved seats the entire floor was sticky which we noticed walking into the theaters and into the bathroom. It was so gross. Also, none of the water fountains worked by the IMAX theater. Not to mention the quality of the IMAX was unimpressive and the screen looked dirty. We wanted an actual IMAX experience but we could have gone to the Regal closest to us (Deerfield) and had a better experience with their RPX theater. I got a diet coke that tasted like everything from the Coca-Cola freestyle but diet coke and my straw was broken in multiple places not by my own fault. Also by the end of the movie the women's bathroom was blocked off and most of the trashcans were emptied by the time the movie ended and everyone was leaving... Overall the movie and popcorn were okay. I didn't have enough of an experience with the staff to have an opinion. Everthing...
Read moreI've been going to this theater for at least 6 years now, and I've seen other people's posts, and how they say that the staff is friendly. Well, I'm not sure about that. I'm an A-lister, which gives you the privilege to see up to three movies a week no matter when you see them, meaning you can see all three in a day if you'd like. So tonight I decided to see two of my three movies, and I thought that was supposed to get my tickets scanned before each movie so they wouldn't think that I was sneaking in to a second one, and when I got back up to the ticket taker, she was talking to a friend of hers, and she turns to me and pretty rudely asked me, "What do you want?" I said, "I've got a ticket to see another movie and I was wondering if you wanted to scan it?" She replied, "Another movie, you want to see another movie?" Her friend then said, "Yeah, she had a ticket to see the first movie and now she wants to see another movie," meaning that even the friend was wondering why she wasn't grasping this concept very well. So as the ticket taker was reluctantly scanning my ticket and walking away since I didn't care for her attitude, she said, "Oh, BUSY girl!" Now what's that supposed to mean? I mean this won't deter me from going back, especially since again I've got the A-list and it's the closest movie theater to my home, but I really wish that management would see this and educate their staff better on how to treat their customers better. Also, for years I've always seen the bathrooms such a mess, toilet paper all over the floors, reeks of urine, I mean I'm not the neatest of people, but I had worked in movie theaters for over eleven years of my life, and I know to always make sure the bathrooms are clean. So if you could please educate your ushers to clean the bathrooms at least once or twice an hour that would also be greatly...
