The Original Pancake House — Restaurant in West Chester Township

Well, where do I start. I suppose I'll start with the outward appearance. It's not bad, but it screams "I'm a step above Waffle House" from the outside. If it weren't for all the cool stuff surrounding it (Top Golf, AMC Theatre, Main Event, Red Robin, the Interstate) it would have been right there, neck and neck with a Waffle House. But whatever, I never judge a book by its cover.

We go in and we're greeted by some flock of seagulls boy child wearing a bright hoodie and jeans. Not sure what the circumstances are that made that uniform decision. But it's not the best sight for first impressions. But hey, to each their own.

Next up the coffee. It sucked. There's no other way to say it. Worst cup of coffee I've had in awhile. But ya know, it's not all about the coffee.

They call it the original pancake house. I guess having a 60+ year old lady smash your pancakes with her giant, old, saggy breasts as she brings your food to you is what makes them original. I literally cut half my pancakes off and set them aside cause I wasn't fancy for boob sweat on my morning dish. Now, I'll caveat this by saying that if it were Kate Upton serving me pancakes, and pressing her delightful fun bags on my cakes....I wouldn have licked that plate clean 10 times and asked for seconds. At this point, I'm done...I've already established I'm never coming back here. But my lovely fiance gets uncomfortable when I make a scene in situations like this...so I chose to remain silent.

But these guys weren't done yet. No, then I got the check. That's when I saw I was gonna have to pay $2.40 for 1 awful cup of coffee.

I'd say on a scale of 1 to nope, I'd rate this place as a definite NOPE!! I'll stick to First Watch. Unless, this place hires Kate Upton....then...

I am writing to share my experience during a recent visit to your West Chester location hoping someone will take these concerns seriously to improve the establishment’s service quality.

From the moment we were seated, we encountered several issues that affected our overall experience. First, the tables were noticeably sticky, and when we politely requested to be relocated due to our proximity to a restroom with a strong and unpleasant odor, our request was denied. This alone was disappointing.

Unfortunately, the service we received from our assigned waitress, Stacey, only added to our dissatisfaction. Stacey did not engage with us beyond delivering our food and checks—there was no effort to ensure we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything further. After finishing our meal, we waited over 10 minutes for our checks. I had to flag down a different waitress just to get assistance, and even then, it took another 10 minutes for Stacey to come over.

Due to the poor customer service, lack of attentiveness, and general disregard for hospitality, we chose not to leave a tip. What followed was entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. As we exited the restaurant, Stacey followed us outside, confronted us about not tipping, and began to harass us. She even took out her phone to record my vehicle and made inappropriate gestures as I was trying to leave.

Additionally, I was made aware that the hostess disclosed information about my method of payment to Stacey, which is a serious breach of customer privacy.

This was my first time visiting your restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism, and this experience fell far below...

I've come here multiple times through out the year but not that often because it's a very far drive but the food is worth it. The last 2 times I've come i was able to place a to go order. Today when I came in the same manager that has helped me before tells me "we don't do to go orders". I said "uh I was just here 3 weeks ago and I placed a to go order with no issue". She then rudely tells me "we don't do to go orders". So I reminded her of my order because at that particular time they ran out of salsa for the omelet and I told her I didn't need it. She then remembered and proceed to take my order with a change of attitude. I checked to make sure there were no signs that stated dine in only to make sure I was not in the wrong. I saw no signs even checked the websites and none have stated dine in only. I was willing to overlook her short answers and attitude the last time I came because I use to work in the food industry so I get it, but this is the second time she has been rude with me and she seems very unhappy with her job which reflects customer service. If there's a policy stating that it's dine in only during certain hours then a sign should be posted stating such. I would like to continue coming here because the food is great but the service is not worth the hassle. I was not able to get the woman's name but my receipt says terminal ID: 6741879 server #2 at...
