The Circle Salon — Attraction in West Chicago Township

WOW. I would give this salon six stars if that were an option! After living in Chicago 6 years, I have never found a place that matches both excellence with hair styling/color and customer service! And I am a tough customer, and only write reviews if I truly think a place deserves it.

Let me explain - I am a female with medium length hair, and the first time I went in for a haircut, had Jessie, who did a FANTASTIC job - one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I decided to go back, and because I trusted her so much, color my hair for the first time.

Not only did Jessie let me reschedule on the spot when we realized what I wanted was going to take a few extra hours, but at the second appointment, she spent time helping me figure out what I wanted, and took extra care and time to make sure all was smooth and went well.

Unfortunately, the colors I had chosen did not look how I had expected, and so when I called (this is the THIRD time now in one week!), Jessie cleared her schedule and got me in that same day. And furthermore, instead of just doing a quick color fix, she asked for a few other stylists' opinions (though she didn't really need the help), and went above and beyond starting from the beginning to give me the look I wanted, free of charge. Jessie even blow-dried my hair AGAIN and sent me out feeling satisfied, cared for, and excited about my hair! I know this was a tricky job, and Jessie nailed it with charm. I will DEFINITELY go back - and you should too.

Side note: They also have a whole menu of wine/cookies/coffee and make sure you are stocked for the whole...

Very friendly staff, I selected this place based on their good reviews and them being environmentally friendly. I think Jamie the owner has a good vision.

I scheduled a haircut with Moe after calling them and reading about her experience to cut curly hair. The week before they called and changed my appointment to Jamie. Even though her technique looked fine and we looked at the photo multiple times, clarified the layers, I got the worst haircut of my life (I have had many short haircuts before, some good some bad, but this is the worst) The bottom layer is ~2” shorter than what I asked for makes it look square at the bottom… She seemed like a nice person, so I was polite still left a full tip. They couldn’t fix it anyways, it’s already a very short haircut… When I got home, I thought I should at least fill their survey so they know… Filled it out last Thursday, no one got back…

Will need to wait a few months to get some hair in the back of my neck and go somewhere else.

It seems like a nice place with good reviews, guessing they are good with long hair but maybe don’t know how to handle short wavy hair? Or maybe she was having a bad day. At the end, I had a 1 star haircut that I need...

Sarah Mya did a great job with my first visit, and this compliment means a lot coming from someone as critical and nervous as I. Due to countless bad experiences with Organic Color Systems, I finally took control, figured out the line, and crafted out a formula and conditioning sequence that barely worked. This is why I was so nervous to switch to a new organic color line. Sarah uses New Color, which is even a little more eco-friendly and clean than Organic Color Systems but so far seems more vibrant and radiant, bleeds less during the first few days, and wears longer. Sarah used to work with Organic Color Systems and she did a great job transitioning my formula to New Color. She also spent a lot of extra time explaining the line so that I could have input. I was still very nervous, but Sarah nailed it on the first try. I have never been so happy with a first visit. Sarah is a scientist, an artist, and a rare stylist willing to work with clients and share expertise. The salon is luxurious without the attitude. I am actually looking forward to...
