Found an expensive watch on the sidewalk outside my house. I live downtown. While the quality of the watch is certainly debatable, the retail value is not. I decided it would make a good watch for work (I do routine heavy lifting at a large school campus where time is of the essence), but the battery was dead. I'm more attracted to automatic watches, but I'm pretty tech savvy so I wasn't intimidated by the task. On inspecting the watch further I concluded it was impregnable: a steel plate with 6 shallow notches cut out at intervals about its circumference, requiring a specialized tool or metahuman ability - neither of which were handy or attainable in the capacity I was willing to dedicate to this scrap watch. The local watch shop (unsurprisingly) had shuttered its doors recently, and I wasn't making a trip to the mall, so I called this place up and spoke with one of their techs. They assured me they had the knowledge and necessary apparatuses to see my project to its timely completion. Lo and behold, upon arrival I was greeted and we set right to work. After a couple failed attempts with one of the tools, we tried another to avail the secret contents of the watch of the hermetic seal encapsulating them. It was finally, after excessive coaxing, pried reluctantly from its eternal sentry appointment, Inspecting the innards, I was disappointed to see some plastic contraption of mysterious intent. Usually quality watches have fairly intricate and finely detailed mechanisms in the housing and are never so difficult to gain entry as this. The anticipation exceeded the reward, but as a work watch it would do nicely. The tech quickly swapped the battery and replaced the plate. I was on my way. The visit was fast and effective. The expertise was more than adequate. The service was professional and personable. Altogether a whole lot more than I expected from a battery business. I will be bringing any and all of my battery business here in the future. Batteries Plus Bulbs - 5/5 Armani Exchange AX 1404 - 2/5

(If you don’t read anything else read the last 2 sentences) I won’t lie and say the customer service was not well while I was there because it was. BUT on the other hand, if you want a working phone I would not recommended this place. And I hate leaving a review like this because I’m not normally one to complain at all. I took my phone here one afternoon which was supposed to take less than 2 hours to change my battery. Mind you my phone worked perfect it just seemed to die pretty quickly in the day. I took it in and came in 2 hours later and then informed me that they had shattered my screen while doing so which I didn’t make a big deal out of because I know things like this come with a risk. Well they replace my phone screen & battery. Afterwards my phone notifies me every 5 minutes reminding me that my battery or phone screen is not Apple related. Which means the apple screen they broke they didn’t replace. I can now touch my phone and purple dots come up all around it. Very hard to explain but I’m sure it’s easy to imagine. So I call them back to let them know my phone is having problems and they told me they would call me back whenever my screen came in for them to replace it again. They never called back and wouldn’t answer the phone. So here I am writing this review on my last 5% of battery because my phone is now fried, the screen half works and I’ll be going to Verizon tomorrow to get a new one. (That I will have to pay out of pocket for because my phone screen & battery isn’t something Apple will trade in). So if you made it this far take my advice and just pay the extra money at your phone carrier business and get it replaced there.

07/11: Two more weeks have past and no updates, phone call, email, text. I will never recommend Batteries Plus to anyone. I donated the two golf cart batteries and purchased 2-VMAXTANKS AGM batteries which appear to be holding charge very well! IF you need a good AGM try the VMaxtanks!

06/26/2023: Another Monday is going by and I still have not received an update from the local store manager. 2 new 6V Deep Cycle Golf Cart batteries are up for sell again. $150 takes the pair. I need to move on and resolve this issue.

06/20/2023: Okay...another edit. So far Batteries Plus has not come through on their promise. They keep telling me they will call me on Monday and they never do. I end up calling them and they act like they have never spoken to me??? When I ask for an update they do not have one and say they will call someone to get an update and will call me on Monday??? I am still waiting on an update for the replacement AMG batteries...

06/12/2023: Batteries Plus has made it right and apologized for the error. Batteries Plus agreed to replace the flooded batteries with AGM batteries needed for my solar system. Thank you for making my summer better!

06/09/2023: Newb Buyers Beware: Do your homework before purchasing from Batteries Plus. Being a new RV owner I didn't do my homework on batteries and really got crapped on. I took two AMG battery types in for replacement. I thought I was buying "like-as" replacements but ended up with a different battery type that does not work with my RV solar system and Batteries Plus will not take them back or exchange them. The batteries are less than a month old and haven't been used. If you need 2-6V Flooded Battery please let me know. I sell them to...
