I always ignore the Google review but taking the time to give this shop some credit for customer service. I've found this place by accident when my regular stop then Cosmos International closed their doors after 30+ years during the Pandemic. Since then I've been doing all my Indian grocerie shopping here which I had been doing at the Cosmos International for 30 years. Just like the Cosmos owner went extra miles to help out their customers so did this owner. Granted I spend a few hundred every month. Still the owner took time to put things in boxes and carried to my car each time. They are still very active when most other Indian groceries are running out of gas. What the carry they carry fresh. Read moreI live more than an hour north of Hartford, in the Land of No Indian Markets, and was so happy to find Royal Indian Grocery when I was in town. Prices seemed about average- no complaints. Small but ample parking lot. Located on a main road with many other stores, less than a mile from the highway exit. Easily seen on approach. Located on one level with no steps; aisles are narrow, particularly the produce aisle, but I would call this store wheelchair accessible. The store is clean and staff were pleasant and helpful. I will...
Read moreA little far for us but love stopping here anytime I am in WH area. They have a huge variety of merchandise but what sets them apart is the ready to pick food they sell.
MY GOD it is as authentic as can be! The first time I had chholay bhature here, I got a little confused because I felt as if I was in the streets of Jalandhar sometime in the 90s… Then I tried their Baingan Bhartha and my eyes welled up in tears because it took me back in my mom’s kitchen as a young child waiting for her to give me a bowl of bhartha. Whoever is cooking here has got to be an authentic Punjabi person.
The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. Please keep up the amazing home style...
