I found this salon by looking at Google for best hairstyling salon in this new area. Came across this one and I read many great reviews, especially the ones mentioning Travis. I decided to give it a try & I was impressed. The place was clean & followed Covid guidelines. The receptionist was pleasant & acknowledged me right away. One of the owners also greeted me, approached me, & thanked me for my business. The ambiance was tranquil & professional. The best of all was Travis. He listened, he suggested, he took his time (never making me feel rushed), & I came out looking like a different woman with a "new look"/ transformation. Before look: blond, long hair but a lot was dried & damaged. The after-look: brunette, much shorter & bangs. The price was not inexpensive but rather on the high side but not the highest, but quite worth it. I had a consultation first, a hair cut , shampoo with great massage & treatment, color, blow dry & style for almost $289 plus tip--and i bought 2 products for approx $60 combined. I will most definitely come back for touch up & highlights in about 6 weeks. Travis will be my guy from now on. I must add my son also came for new cut but unfortunately Travis was booked & he took his chances with the young girl who was available. She was pleasant but the 5 or 6 inch cut was not even but rather crooked & Travis was kind enough to fix it & he also did my sons sideburns as the young girl didn't trim (the saloon offers a guarantee/ touch up if you're not satisfied). My son and I will continue to be customers from now on. I dont normally give 5 * but I couldn't find anything that will drop them...
Read moreI have been there once before a few months ago and got a great hair cut. Decided to go back on 11/16, the only had a gentleman available that had just started 2 weeks prior, I had no choice and really hoped he knew how to work with long hair. I asked him to do my hair in layers because it was to long and heavy and cut at least one each. Through the cutting process I knew it was going to be a disaster, he partially wet my hair and I have tones of hair, so it was not wet enough kept cutting, never shaped my hair into layers, he finished and I went home. I dried my hair and to find out how uneven my hair was in the back the left was longer than the right. Call the salon and they booked me for 11/17, went back showed the same guy and mentioned that it was because the hair was not wet enough, he shampooed my hair proceed to fix the problem and kept cutting and cutting and still my hair didn’t look right. I had so much anxiety because I knew that what I was expecting of a hair cut was mot going to happen. There was an older gentleman there don’t know if it’s the owner he approached the hairdresser and offer to help. “Let me help”, he trimmed a little more and said the rest was ok on the back of my hair. I this point I just wanted to get out of there. I guess they lost a client because I would...
Read moreSo dissappointed. I stopped in to make an apt. I had to wait a week for Stephen which was fine. That day I get a voicemail he wasnt feeling well and had to leave. I get a text message a few min later that something came up and he had to leave. I try to reschedule and finally get another apt with Stephen. I have to wait another week. I rearrange my schedule and then 1 hour before my apt I get a phone call that he has to cancel bc he is not feeling well. Well thank you for wasting my afternoon (a second time) and for having me wait 2 weeks for a haircut that never happened. Very dissappointed. Update after response: I wish I coild screen shot my text but here is the copy and paste: "Unfortunately, something has come up and is going to be leaving for the day. Is there any chance we can get you scheduled with Kristen or Nikki for a different time or day? Christopher Stephens Salon"
Sorry but that is not sick. Why reschedule with other stylists? Even when I tried to reschedule with Stephen they made an apt with another stylist after I made it clear I wished to have Stephen. Then they finally moved my apt to him. If he doesnt want new clients he should just be honest. If he doesnt want later appt bc he wants to leave early, they should be honest. The being sick thing in my opinion...
